  1. It should work without you having to do anything. The fix is super easy , DCS looks amazing with a Varjo and a 4090, so dont give up.
  2. I fixed my setup and now works properly, I had an axis assigned to this at the same time.
  3. I selected a button, then selected a switch, and can only move the RPMS when in manual mode like the equivalent of a minute at a time, so I have to press repeatedly a lot of times the button to get it to move, and happens slow. Definitely it does not move like in the video, is it a bug? Anyone had success with this? Even the default assignments page Down , Page up does this. Also the throttle button in game is moving backwards as soon as I press the button. Like if another button was being assigned and pressed, but nothing else is assigned. So found the problem, the throttle switch button is stuck in increase rpms position. How do I get it un stuck? No controllers or keyboards commands are assigned to Increase or Decrease RPMS. It should look like this.nullnull
  4. Hangar average $300, annual $2,000 APROX. 20 GALLONS PER HR WHEN DOING ACRO, 16gph IN CRUISE Its a bargain and a lot of airplane for what they cost I paid $73,000 fully restored and nice. CJ6 has more fuel , is more comfortable and faster than the Yak52, you can find a good Yak52 for $50,000, CJ6 you can do all the warbirds maneuvers its really fun to fly. Here is mine.
  5. Testing the new beta for Varjo Base, Motion Smoothing does not work too well, the ground you can see everything very smooth, to the front or the sides, in the case of warbirds and maneuvering in front of you, the wings look like flapping at high speed, looks terrible. Also I am using Open XR wrapper this Varjo beta is causing massive hiccups during missions, something like this never happened before. Also tested in SteamVR Open VR, no hiccups and performance was a bit better, but still when on dogfights sometimes there are lots of artifacts when turning fast when chasing another plane.
  6. I fly all the DCS warbirds except for the IL16. Also impressed with the flight models. IMHO DCS is the best simulator by far, no comparison to the other WWII ones, or FS2020 or Xplane.
  7. New to DCS but 25 plus years in flight simulators. I fly a real warbird, do simulated dogfights, some formation flying. Wake turbulence in DCS is very realistic, it really impresses me, feels exactly as it feels in real life, definitely is not over modelled, I would say it is spot ON.
  8. The CJ6 flies really nice, I would love to have one in DCS. This is the one I fly IRL.
  9. Are you forced to be locked at 45 or 30FPS with vertical Synch enabled? Just asked to join the latest beta.
  10. Agreed, was it the very first Warbird DCS made? How many years ago?
  11. This would be nice to have in the damage model.

  12. Varjo Aero is amazing, make you have a fast video card and DCS runs pretty good. I preferred Open XR, not the tool but the wrapper which is very easy to install and fixes the mouse control problems. Either way the Varjo it works pretty good in IL2 in Open XR or Steam VR.
  13. Yes it is a very popular airplane because the way it flies, it has a great reputation, solid, stable but very light on the controls, probably the most fun airplane I have flown.
  14. Very dumb on my part Your campaigns are awesome, very immersive, just finished the 109 campaign, now doing Horrido, thank you for putting the passion into this. Definitely it shows you have passion, and the knowledge, I moved to DCS from Il2 a month ago, not going back, love flying the warbirds in DCS, they feel like real airplanes, and your campaigns makes DCS immersive, the perfect combination, this planes deserve detailed campaigns like the ones you do. To me DCS is the first sim that does this, a detailed plane and realistic FM, been flight simming for 25 plus year and a real pilot for 14 years one of the planes I fly is a warbird, IMHO DCS warbirds feel really good.
  15. Thanks will try it again, I get vectors, and the last one I get is 290, then the radio gets quiet. I continue on 290 heading and takes me all the way to England and I never see a bomber.
  16. Played mission 2 twice and could not find the bombers. At least can I go attack their airfield? Will there be any planes or targets of opportunity to attack in UK in this mission?
  17. Thanks, how well modeled are this planes, the AI the DM the performance? I imagine they dont look as detailed at the ones from the WWII assets pack, but if they work well I am in.
  18. Channel and Normandy maps have very narrow roads between cities or towns, and tress super tight around them, you can barely see them, which makes navigation difficult , here some examples of 1944 Normandy roads. Hope you can make some of the main roads connecting mayor cities a bit wider than on current maps.
  19. During dogfighting centered ball is important to have when you dive and climb, so you get the best performance you can get out of your plane (unless you are being chased and want to be un coordinated on purpose to throw the enemy's shots off). Use the older P47 in DCS, it has a slip indicator on the base of the gunsight, that will be a good place to start training, step on the ball, and when in doubt its better to have the ball to the inside of the turn you are making than the outside, sometimes during dogfights we can also get slow and this can prevent a stall spin.
  20. Impressive, and if it has good performance will be a winner for sure.
  21. Yes makes sense, I think the motor could run a whole tank at full power and not blow up, maybe it shorten its life and shows engine wear prior to the manufacturer's TBO.
  22. So its not modelled correctly in DCS? Or those were factory limits for the pilots manual to add longevity to the engine maybe? In an emergency you could run it 30 minutes and the motor would not blow up but shorten its lifespan? (This could make sense)
  23. Just did a long dogfight against Spits, started as port attack instant mission, I climbed took distance and tried head on, after many of those, then they chased me from the coast of England to France and inland and again try climbing and attacking them when I got distance. All of this at full power and Water/Methanol, this lasted between 20 to 30 minutes. How long did WM lasted on the 109K in real life? its a 100litres tank, correct? No limit to the motor to ran it for long periods of time?
  24. I want to just tell where did my post came from. I fly a real warbird and I do aerobatics and dogfights (I am fit, exercise 6 days a week) today on purpose I did a fast aggressive long routine of aerobatics non stop ,loops, rolls, barrel rolls, steep turns, wingovers, like if I were in a dogfight. You do get tired and the speeds and G forces compared to the warbirds we fly in game were slower, when I have done simulated dogfights the wake turbulence adds to the challenge, plus that when you chase you don't know the next move. Il2 simulates pilot stamina, and is not too bad, the more tired the pilot gets the easier it becomes to black out. As an option would be great to have, it was a very important aspect of WWII air combat, of course the AI will need to have this modeled.
