I'am not sure bitdefender is the cause of the problem, i believe Win firewall setting need adjusting, not sure how to though !! With the Windows firewall inbound rules,DCS World is clearly shown, "Outbound Rules" DCS does't show anywhere. Not sure about what settings are suitable for DCS in both directions.

Hi Here's another screen shot of firewall setting for you to have a look at have not done anything yet, have other stuff i have to attend to before i start looking into this,but once i made the changes and looked at the results, i'll get back to you ,just letting you know whats going on !!

Hi Flappie Yes I did that, DCS World has unrestricted access to the internet now the change I made was to the Firewall of Bitdefender. Don't no where to go from here,I guess we just keep on trying different stuff until we get it right !!

Just remembered some else, That {Couldn't resolve host name} dialog box that pops up, ever time i click on DCS update exe shortcut there is another dialog box that appears before {Couldn't resolve host name - dialog box} but only for a fraction of a second, not enough time to see what it is.

Can't you upload from desktop straight to site, or you have go through one of these Web sites first ? I tried what you said 1. Rename your C:\Users\your_name\Saved Games\DCS folder as "DCS_backup", then launch the game. 2. If DCS still doesn't want to activate Su-27 and L-39C modules, try a cleanup and repair. Still getting same errors, I have taken some screenshots of the errors to let you have look, maybe something in them you might not be aware of.

Hi here The SU-27 and L-39c Modules have downloaded but there not installed and still getting same errors,i tried changing password, didn't make any diff. This online mode mite be the problem,i'll give this a try. How do you upload a image file to the site, tried number of times with no success. "Thanks"

Hi there When you say attach both dcs.log and your install log (E:\DCS World\autoupdate_log.txt). Do you mean move a copy dcs.log and install log files from (C Drive Saved Games DCS log files) To E Drive DCS World Folder Sorry Flappie " Not Sure What You Mean "

"So" What does this mean - ("request dcs:hwreport failed with error 6: Couldn't resolve host name") "Also" yes i was connected to the internet, within DCS "No" have not got Avast on my computer - Avast- is that a Anti - Virus Software ? I use Bitdefender !! I'll have look at that authorization setting in my windows 7 control panel see if i can find anything in there. Also might try to reset password again. Hi there Guy's Have some problems with DCS, First I installed DCS World on a internal SSD Drive was working OK it was just the latest basic version Caucasus MAP. Initially did not login to my DCS account until after I changed drive letters. Then i change Drive Letter from B to E, then i tried to login to my account within DCS World to see how downloading one of my purchase’s modules would work online, Only to find incorrect password errors pop up, so I changed pass word to a very basic password seemed to fix problem, until I reset password back to the original password. Now no sound unable to download purchase modules and incorrect password is back. This screen shot is the latest error, I been getting, What are my Options.

Comfirm MAXsenna Want to make sure I’ve got this correct, When I download DCS to a Sata 3 - SSD additional internal drive, let’s say F Drive ! I don’t need to hard link – Symbolic Link to F Drive, DCS on F drive should run exactly the same as if it was on C Drive, is that correct ? By the way thank you for your help MAXsenna greatly appreciated. Thank you !

Wondering can you install DCS on another drive excluding C drive ,and run all the programs needed within DCS The same as if they were on C drive
