From my point of view, the major gap in Cold War scenario is the lack of RedFor supersonic attack aircraft. The Su-17/22 may full fill this gap, but for now no dev showed interest in this model. RAZBAM give us a hope to see a MiG-27 in a far future... maybe 4/5 from now, who knows.

GNS430 now avalible for all aircraft as a pop-up. Visual navegation and dead reckoning is a great feature in this server. Is there any way to rescrict 430 usage? Enviado de meu Moto G (5) Plus usando o Tapatalk

Alpen, Any plans to add Community A-4E in Cold War Servers?

YES, PLEASE!!! Enviado de meu Moto G (5) Plus usando o Tapatalk

I dont know the Mirage situation, last time razbam talk about it was a long time ago. Maybe we never see this project come alive. Also AFIK the F-4 project is postponed. Now is the last in the row. And add the MiG-23 only make sense with F-4 counterpart. This means the MiG-19 is the only new module for the Cold War server in a near future Enviado de meu Moto G (5) Plus usando o Tapatalk

Last Saturday had +10 players for a few hours. Let see if the end of F-18 hype and the coming MiG-19 brings the interest in Cold War server again.

You guys seriously think the MiG-23 MLA is a threat to F-14A/B? Seriously? MiG-23 is a very restrictive fighter, that's why IRL a lot of MiG-21 users decide don't acquire the 23, because 23 doesn't represent a big advance against the MiG-21 fighter capability. A scenario with F-4 vs MiG-23 is far more fair and competitive than a F-14 vs MiG-23.

Alpen, did the update screwed up the dynamic campaign too? I liked the idea of fly randomly and hit some ground targets without compromise with an exact goal.

Unfortunately our F4 vs. MiG23 clashes gonna wait a bit more. https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3565572&postcount=114 :(:(:(:(

Totally agree!!!

Now talking about the server missions: 1) Is there some ground targets outside airbases and FARP areas? Like convoys in highways or infantry platoons stationary in cities? I know that's a dynamic mission now, but is interesting have some ground targets away from this areas for strafing with P-51 and F-86 (and why not with the Mig-15 and his huge 37mm cannons) 2)The coming Mig-19 is a "P" version, right? That means is that version purely and solely interceptor capable? 3)Will the C101CC become available for BlueFor? The 101CC can become a good counterpoint to L-39AZ.

This is the true problem: People can't live without CCIP, CCRP or Mavericks... (OK, Mig-21 have some kind of rudimentary CCIP, but you know, it's not precise like a modern fighter) and I agree that it's a real challenge for many players, put a Mk82 in the target with an F-5 is a pain, need A LOT of training, for in the end you make just 30-35% hit rate... but, that challenge is VERY FUN and is this challenge that makes Cold War server so unique.

Is server down? Enviado de meu Moto G (5) Plus usando o Tapatalk

And what about the MLA A/G features, what can we expect about that? Redfor really need a fast attack jet. Enviado de meu Moto G (5) Plus usando o Tapatalk

Hey Alpen, sorry about my lack of attention on the OP. The excitement is too much about the ED green light to MIG-23. It's real, it's happening... So today RAZBAM finnaly annunces the MIG-23 (MLA version). What about in the future we have F-4 vs. Mig-23 clashes in Cold War Server? Of corse, both limited with AIM-9 and R-60 to keep the the WVR spirit of the server. The line up could have: F-4 vs Mig-23 F-5 vc Mig-21 (We need a F-100 Here!) vs Mig-19 F-86 vs Mig-15 Alpen let me dream, please! :pilotfly:

Alpenwolf two small suggestions: 1)Can you add ramp position number in "Group Name" box when we choose our aircraft? With this, we can know our position at start and can taxi using just the airport plates. 2) Friendly FARPs geographic coordinates in the mission briefing to know where exactly we are spawning, and where we should go.
-
In "Five Points" mission a lot of mig-21's weapons, fuel tanks and ASO-2 are missing.

I'm trying to imagine when F14 come out and the outcry to add this kind of fighter in a cold war scenario with an AN/AWG-9 radar...:lol::lol:

I don't get the point about damage, my knowledge about damage model doesn't go beyond DCS experience. To me, the Mig-21 and other soviet hardware seems very sturdy and can sustain a lot of damage. Yesterday one Su25T survived the attack of four aircraft and a bunch of missiles. Dude, nobody hates nothing here! My main concern about Harriers is that they do not fit a Cold War 60's/70's scenario. Its avionics suite, sensor, and weapons are too overpower in this server. A digital hud that gives a lot of information and situational awareness on the battlefield, a truly effective RWR that really gives you a whole view os the situation and an A2A missile far... far... FAR... better than the best redfor similar weapon. So we are fighting a late 90's aircraft with a very limited 70's hardware.

:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup: More missions without Harriers, please!!! Or better: Rip out Harriers from all missions! :music_whistling:

Why Buk stop engaging after some shots? Blufor is just loitering over Redfor airbases and waiting for migs to take off.
