  1. Ok, I will. I'm playing it on my old 1050 ti gpu and see if it crashes first.
  2. I just downloaded an older driver for the GPU and did a clean install and it didn't work, game is still crashing. I'm about down to my last nerve. These are the things I've tried with no luck so far: Clean install of DCS Repair of DCS Run Debug mode of GPU Underclocked the GPU using Afterburner Tried playing with Low, Medium and High Graphic Settings Played DCS with no mods or anything else running but the game. Bought a new PSU, 850 Watts Downloaded and did a clean install of an older driver using DDU Clean install of latest driver using DDU Am I missing anything? Several people are running DCS with a 1080 ti without any problems. What should I try next? A different MOBO? Returning the GPU and asking for an exchange or getting a totally different one? Please help! I literally bought the 1080 ti for this game alone.
  3. I have a brand new EVGA BQ 850, so I'm pretty sure it's not the PSU. I pulled the card out and put it back in to make sure it was seated correctly. I also did a full clean install yesterday using DDU. I tried playing again a couple times, and it still crashes. I tried attaching the crash log, but now it won't let me attach the file. It says it's an invalid file. I checked several times and it's a .txt file but won't let me attach it, so I'm just going to copy and paste what it says, sorry.
  4. went in and renamed savedgames and restarted the game and changed my settings and the game crashed when I hit OK. Attached is the log.
  5. Verified files in steam, ran the DCS repair and tried playing..it crashed again. Attached is the latest log
  6. Brand new intel i7-8700k not overclocked. I have not but I'll look at it right now. Thanks for all your help!
  7. Just tried playing the game on medium settings, it crashed. tried playing it on low settings, it crashed. This is getting very frustrating. I'm going to put my 1050 ti card back in just so I can play the damn game. I bought the 1080 ti for this very game and I can't even play it.
  8. Yep, it wasn't seated correctly, my bad. But I did just try playing, and again it crashed. Here's the latest log.:
  9. Hmmm that is strange, sorry about that. I'll look at the ram, that could be the issue. For giggles, I just set graphics on low and it didn't crash.
  10. I actually have 16gb in my rig. I am trying to use all high settings yes. I thought with my rig setup, I shouldn't have any issues running all high settings, especially with the 1080 ti. Am I wrong? I'll try all low settings and see if it still crashes. I'm not sure what you mean by pagefile set to managed or manual amount. I just downloaded the Afterburner program and underclocked my GPU and the game crashed again..here's the latest log:
  11. It's the only game that crahes. I only play DCS and iracing though. I just did a complete uninstall and clean install of my video drivers using DDU and I already had it crash when trying a training mission. I'm not really familiar with the crash logs. I know where to find them but not sure which of the files listed in the zip file you guys are interested in. Guessing the one that says CRASH? Here's the latest one.
  12. Thanks guys. I did send crash logs to E.D. and they suggested it was the GPU and I need to select a different "mode" or underclock it. I'll take a look at everyone's suggestions and post some crash logs. I won't be back at my pc until tomorrow though. Thanks again!
  13. Hey guys, I just got a new EVGA 1080ti card and the game keeps crashing on me at all different times in the game. I wrote a ticket with Eagle Dynamics and they said a lot of people are having issues with 1080 ti cards cause they come stock overclocked and that I need to underclock the card for the game to work properly. Anyone else having this issue and can tell me how to underclock the card or if they have a 1080 ti and not having any game crashing issues? Thanks!!
  14. Ok thanks again guys, guess it's time to move on to 2.5 then.
  15. Thanks for the input so far guys. I previously had a 1050 ti and older CPU, which I don't even remember what it was, and then I added the i7 8700k and could tell an obvious difference, but when I put the 1080 Ti in today, and put it on the default High setting, I honestly didn't see much of a difference in anything, I was kinda bummed and shocked. Do you guys think maybe it's cause of my monitor at this point? Maybe I've maxed out it's potential regardless if I use a 1050 ti or 1080 ti? Thanks again
  16. I just upgraded my system and have been reading a bunch about graphics settings and GPU settings and now my head hurts. Could someone maybe share with me their settings with a similar system or point me in the right direction to get the best experience with DCS 1.5? Thanks! System: Intel i7 8700k, not overclocked EVGA 1080 Ti GPU 16gb Ram BenQ XL2720 Monitor
  17. Disregard, figured it out. Well, by figured out I mean I downloaded someome else's profile and lua file. Still not sure what I was doing wrong with my profile and lua file since I put it in the same file, but oh well.
  18. I just started using helios and made a basic profile for the A-10C but the instruments aren't working. I'm using a 2 monitor setup with my Helios being displayed on my bottom monitor. I setup the interface and input bindings for the instruments. I'm guessing it either has something to do with my IP address and port on the top screen of the profile setup or the path to where my A-10C install file is. So my questions are: 1) should I leave the IP and port settings alone and use what's automatically put there or look up my ip and port settings and put those there? 2) Exactly what path do I put in the A-10C Setup box for the install path? Do I put where DCS World is installed or do I have to go further in to that file and into the A10C file? Thanks for any help!!
