  1. You obviously didn't listen, read or something like that well. There is a translation of an interview with pilot Boro Zoraja in this thread, which clearly states that he spotted 3 targets during the search, locked on the closest one and waited for the launch signal. While waiting for the signal, the SPO received a signal that it was locked.Pilot Abdul Emeti had an identical situation and explained it in clear terms. It couldn't be clearer.
  2. I read everything, technically as much as I can understand. This is just a desire to show what it says in the pilot's manual regarding operating restrictions for the SPO device.
  3. Here's a scan of the original page from the L-18 Yugo pilot's manual markings for the Mig 29. I only translated the part where the warning is, below is the text that explains the sound signals and how to operate the SPO device. And that's the only warning about this device. WARNINGS: 1. The operating mode of aircraft radars of quasi-continuous radiation, which operate in the mode of tracking in transit, is not determined. 2. When irradiated by a radar of continuous and quasi-continuous radiation at long distances (when turned on up to 5 power gradations) when irradiated by the radar of the air defense missile system "Hawk", the "H" mark lights up continuously, and when irradiated by an aircraft radar of the type F-14 F 15 F 16 and F 18, this mark goes out and the "F" type lights up. 3. When irradiated by an aircraft radar of quasi-continuous radiation, at the moment of activation of the type "F", the number of power gradations briefly changes from the fifth-eighth to the first gradation with their subsequent increase. If I may ask. What is "SME"?
  4. Then contact the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Serbia and ask if they would be willing to provide you with old technical documentation for the Yugoslav MiG.
  5. Without a valid document, I cannot accept this statement as evidence.
  6. It couldn't have been said better. Bro, you have a pack of beer for this
  7. I already wrote that a friend who knows Serbian pilots who flew in 1999 and some who fly now asked about SPO 15 and that they said that ED did not really understand the essence, SPO has degraded capabilities when the radar is working but by no means does it not work at all. In Serbia, the MiG 29 is still used, technical instructions for both active pilots and maintenance people and even the word is almost impossible to get for the public. There are only Instructions for the use of the L-18 aircraft from the era of the former Yugoslavia that surfaced in some troubled times of war.
  8. OK, how much evidence do you have besides this Polish one? Why would you believe Western pilots who tested the unmaintained German MiG 9 and not believe Serbian pilots who were the only ones who had combat flights. Do you in the West consider Serbs to be primitive, uneducated people? Do you think we are fat here? Human memory is not reliable of course, Boro Zoraj does not remember whether he pulled the plane to the left or right, how long he maneuvered to get out of the lock, but he certainly has a deep memory of why he did it. From experience and conversations with people who have done business with you, I know for sure that you are a group of arrogant businessmen who pretend to be the smartest in the world. If someone were to bring you the engineer who made the SPO 15, you would say that Putin made him say something different from yours. There are several people on this topic who are very well-versed in technical knowledge, so you don't dare to replicate them. When you were building the F-8, external sources, such as former pilots on that plane, were relevant to you because you didn't have technical documentation for everything, so it was only important to you to know how everything behaved. And that was OK for you then, but here you are clinging to something like a drunkard to a fence.
  9. Bingo! When arrogance hits the head, reason loses all connection with logic and reality.
  10. RVR in real life is important so that the pilot knows that he is being irradiated, from which direction and that he has information that he is in the range of the enemy radar. No normal person would risk his head like we in DCS to maneuver offensively while a missile is heading towards him. As the pilot Boro Zoraja said, as soon as he was in lock, he started a defensive maneuver so that the enemy would lose him from the radar. And he mentioned that he knew that the enemy had better radars and missiles with a longer range, so we can conclude that he also considered it pointless to try to shoot the enemy even though you have him in lock and risk your life like that. I don't think any of us here are trying to say that the SPO is a much better instrument than the one in DCS now, and the pilots themselves claim that it is complicated and unreliable. But they certainly claim that SPO 15 works together with radar and that there is no such thing as a non-functioning front hemisphere with radar. For us in DCS, just signaling the irradiance of 90-90 degrees would be quite enough. Yes, for the F 18 it is quite enough to have open sources and external information and create RVR for DCS at your own discretion, while for SPO, information from people who not only practiced on that aircraft but also went into real combat with it is not taken into account.
  11. I wonder, do we have all the documentation and schematics for the magical RVR on the F-18? Or is it just "take my word for it"?
  12. If you say so, it must be so.
  13. We share the same opinion, at the very least you have radiation and the direction it's coming from, although you may not have the right information about what type of radiation it is. Yes, from the frontal hemisphere.
  14. Thank you very much, I missed the detail that the IFF check is done by switching to RL mode and that then the radar does not show the lock if it is a friendly target, I was expecting the letter c . I always keep the switch in the forward position, so that the radar does not lock on a friendly target, and then in IRST mode with the radar STT lock since I do not see C I think it is an enemy. My big mistake, thanks again.
  15. This way, I have absolutely no intention of convincing myself and changing someone's opinion or decision to do something as they think it should be done. We all know it well and it is a historical fact that every weapon and weapon system can only be proven in war. The Abrams tank was the best tank in the world on paper and in propaganda until its participation in the war showed that it was just a piece of junk like any other tank. I can't say that the Serbian pilots greeted you, I can only convey to you their statements. "In essence, it doesn't work (SPO 15) as they (ED) say, they partially understood but missed the point. SPO 15 doesn't work from the PPS only at the moment of the radar pulse being emitted, it works between pulses. This means that the performance is degraded, but not that the SPO doesn't work then." I would like to mention that there are also YT shows dedicated to pilots who flew combat missions in 1999 in which they talked about their flights. I would cite two statements as an example: "I have them, but they have me too" Commander of the 204th Fighter Aviation Regiment Lieutenant Colonel Milenko Pavlović message over the radio, a few minutes before he was shot down, he died then. "I found a target and locked on it, while I was waiting for the system to give me permission to launch a missile, at that moment the device that shows that I am being irradiated shows a signal that I am locked by the enemy and I am then starting an evasive maneuver." Pilot Boro Zoraja (I do not know his rank). Otherwise, this is a pilot whose combat flight lasted 40 minutes and was shot several times and he thinks he dodged 4 missiles in total. He successfully landed with minimal fuel, survived the war. Once again I would like to thank ED for making this wonderful aircraft for us as full fidelity, it is a real pleasure to fly it with all its flaws, and even if this solution for SPO 15 remains like this. There are some irregularities in the modeling of the functioning of the nose wheel, but I need to find a topic where I can write about it.
  16. It's possible it's a bug. I made two team kills, I turned out to be some idiotic noob on the MiG29
  17. AeriaGloria I watched your video on yt where you explain KOOP MOD for radar and IRST, great job. I have a question, I don't know if it's a bug or I'm not doing something right, it happened to me a couple of times on the server that I shot down a friendly plane because I didn't have a signal that it was friendly. I tested last night in a single mission and I have no iff at all. The procedure is that my radar is on dummy, pursuit mode, coop mode on, lock on in OPT mode, the second time I press the lock button and it gets radar lock, distance to the target, diamond in the HUD, but there is no indication C that the target is friendly.
  18. I hope that SA 125 NEVA full fidelity will arrive along with the map, then the village of Budjanovci, because the F117 needs to land somewhere. It would be correct for ED to release an official skin for the Mig 29 in the colors and markings of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (FRY) from the period '92-'03.
  19. I can try to get in touch with a couple of Serbian pilots who flew in 1999 in the war with NATO. Letim brate, ali mi treba par, tesko je sam protiv mrskog neprijatelja Moj nick je =4c=Kljun, mozes doci na nas discord. Koji je tvoj nick?
  20. You are right, I made a mistake, the SPO is not turned off, but switched from observation mode to capture mode. In the handbook it is written that Berjoza is an integral part of the navigation system from the ground, so I think that the information - signals are received through that system. ⦁ " Ugrađena je KRU „Birjuza“ (E502-20) kao deo BReO, namenjena upravo za rad sa NASU/GCI." and translate to eng "⦁ KRU "Birjuza" (E502-20) was installed as part of BReO, intended for work with NASU/GCI." The point of my writing here is that I believe that for some reason ED modeled the Mig29 that had just come off the strip in the first series. I am quite sure based on the logic and instructions for the Yugoslav Migs that are from the first series and were purchased in 1987 that this problem was quickly solved. So, we could get one red plane in DCS that is functional. If you research on the internet, even with AI the only source that mentions the problem with the SPO15LM is ED, and there are tons of technical and aviation manuals on the internet for the Mig29 in many languages. I have been in this simulation since the beginning of 2007, believe me that after Mig 21 I am overjoyed that we finally have Mig29. I'm aware that it's still an unfinished plane, but it's done very well. Congratulations to ED for a job well done, it's a real pleasure to fly this aircraft. I hope that ED will make an official skin for the Yugoslav Mig29 and the Serbian one that is still flying today.
  21. Временное РТЭ использовалось в течение короткого периода, а затем заменялось на окончательную версию. Информация о временных документах может быть менее доступной. I am interested in what is written in the final version, not the trial version.
  22. Look, I can send you the entire pilot's manual "L-18 aircraft handling" Yugoslav markings for the MiG29. In the entire manual for pilots, the only place where it is mentioned that Beryoza should be turned off, and the pilot should do it manually, is when the command to turn on the radar does not pass during guidance from the ground. I hope you agree with me that the manual for an airplane contains all the possible instructions for using that airplane and all the restrictions. I see that you mention Kosovo, better said the War with Yugoslavia because of Kosovo, there are testimonies of pilots who flew MiG29 in those days and who clearly mention that during the radar search they received a signal that they were locked by enemy planes. Pilot Abdul Emeti gives a statement that at the moment when he had a lock on enemy aircraft, he received a signal that the enemy had locked on him and he started an evasive maneuver. I assume you know that Yugoslavian MiG 29s were hardly maintained in the period from 1991-1999 due to sanctions, so it cannot be said that the SPO on them was improved. And yes, I would like to see your sources where it is written that during the use of the Mig29 radar, the SPO 15 device does not work in the front observation hemisphere. And one more thing, after the last patch, when the enemy plane locks the Mig 29 in STT mode, any light stops shining on the SPO. KRU na MiG (1).docx
  23. Thanks for the welcome, I'm an old member, about 15 years already, but I lost my data for the forum, so I registered again. Reading the topic, I concluded that the ED made the SPO 15 not work when the radar is turned on, and that's the way it is. It is also claimed that this was done on the basis of the service manual for the SPO15LM device, where it is written that such a situation is classified as a malfunction and that the device needs to be repaired. My question is why did ED decide to build a broken MiG29, unlike all the other aircraft in the DCS? Regarding guidance from the ground, I'm sure you have the manual for the Mig29 aircraft, it explains the procedure for guiding the path of the KRU device, and it is easy to conclude that the signal reception goes through the BERYOZA device, which is part of the KRU system.
  24. This means that ED made a broken Mig-29 for DCS. In contrast to the western planes that are made perfectly without any defects. I know there's no point in trying to convince the ED people, but it would be nice if they could give us the correct plane. SPO15 Beryoza is part of the system for irrigation from the ground through the KRU device. I think the KRY signal is received via SPO15 and that's the only thing mentioned in the Mig29 user manual that the SPO is turned off in case the signal from the KRU does not pass. Everything else is a matter of correct SPO or broken, ED sold us a broken plane, probably the kill ratio on the servers would be 100% on the side of western planes.
