Cool, that looks like a cool way to go.
I would like to check out rotary encoders for spots that would otherwise be potentiometers.
From what I have read on here there are some problems with potentiometersbeing too noisy?
Which rotary switches have you guys had good luck with? I'm planning to do my radio controls and I want to plan the rotary selection switches. What do you do when there are situations where there are 3 or 4 selection choices?
Does anyone know of a source for metal inserts for knobs like the lighting panel knobs? I am 3d printing them solid and I started making a drill jig for getting the hole in the bottom centered. Next stop is figuring out where to get the metal inserts.
Is there somewhere that you guys have had good luck?
Also I keep seeing mention of Deadman's knob painting tutorial. Is there a link that I haven't seen to it? I have done a few searches and have not had luck finding the actual tutorial.
Thanks!
I think a lot of aircraft would be great as 2 person cockpits. As they brought up in Jane's longbow. There was a 2 person cockpit that worked great. So much fun back in the day. My room mate and I wired up an intercom from radio shack and added a com button to our joysticks so we could talk back and forth. We mixed it in to the game noise on our headsets for a primitive team speak situation. We burned countless hours on that sim! I would love to get back into a 2 person sim cockpit with modern tech!!
Longbow
I also vote for an Apache in DCS!
I would love to have a 2 man cockpit situation as In the Jane's longbow from years ago!!
I. Fact that is probably my nu.ber one request!!
I would love to have an A-6 Intruder!
I think it would be super if there were a 2 person A-6 that could be like a 2 player version of the A-10. I think that doing carrier based missions like in Flight of the Intruder would really be cool.
It gives a real challenging goal for physical Sim Cockpit builders.
It would lend itself to missions where it would need to be escorted by aircraft with air to air capabilities. Lots of possibilities here.
It would be great for air to air refueling.
Wild weasel missions etc...
