    Biggin Hill?

Thanks! I totally misunderstood and thought I was going blind.:)

    Biggin Hill?

Well, I see that there are already two threads in the wish list requesting Biggin Hill. Let's hope it comes soon.

    Biggin Hill?

Well, I count five on the English side and four on the French side. Please correct me if I'm wrong but these are Detling, High Halden, Hawkinge, Lympne and Manston on English side and Abbeville, Dunkirk, Merville and Saint Omer on the French side. In the map taxiway folder there is also a Saint Inglevert mentioned but can not find it in the mission builder. Biggin Hill and Kenley were the biggest Fighter Command stations and in my opinion deserve to be on this map. Their locations are here: I am astounded by the detail of this map but airbases is what we need to make missions with it. A lot more are missing from both sides of the map. This is early access so I hope that ED have plans to include at least the biggest ones.

    Biggin Hill?

I believe that the geographical location of Biggin Hill is in the map, or close to the western limit of it. Considering the importance of the base, is it possible to include it in the future? Question also applies to other airbases in the map area that I think are missing (not sure which yet but can investigate).
  5. Just to add that this thread saved my day! I recently upgraded my GPU from a 970 to an RTX2070 Super. After the upgrade all sims were working great, including P3D v4 and v5 and Il-2 COD at very high settings. However, in DCS I started having crashes, especially in the F-14 and even on sim startup. I tried all tricks mentioned in the ED forum for crashes (repair, deleting the saved games etc.) but nothing worked. I was disappointed that I had upgraded to a better GPU and could not even fly! The key was to set the Power Management at Prefer Maximum Performance I had this set for the 970 but when I changed cards I decided to flush clean the drivers and reinstall them, so I lost that setting and forgot to get back to it. It seems that this caused the power supply to my card to be "optimized" exactly when it was most needed, causing a driver crash. When I did not have a crash I had terrible performance. After setting this the crashes stopped and I was able to increase sliders to very high settings and DCS runs amazingly well. As a side note, it seems to be better to control MSAA and Transparency Antialising through Nvidia and leave the MSAA setting at 2x in DCS and no SSAA settings. Even though I have a 1080p monitor, I was also able to run at 4k through DSR with no problems. Happy camper now after three days of grief...
  6. Just adding a sidenote to this discussion. In my opinion this effect (both old and new versions) is not realistic. The effect is more cinematic and is related to the FPS used for obtaining a film picture. In real life the human eye does not see any propeller blades. The pilot only sees a slight blur of a compete propeller disk, not blurred blades. Saying this from own experience flying Cessnas for 13 years. Smaller propeller but still a propeller.
  7. I guess it's another case of RTFM on my part then... Thank you all for your help! This is an amazing aircraft and fantastic simulation that I enjoy a lot but still learning bit by bit. Edit: Confirmed this was the issue. Now to correct the fact that hits are not registered, but I saw this bug is known and under progress by HB.
  8. Thank you! You may have hit the nail on the head with this. I have not checked that. So far I try to combine them with bombs and rocket pods. I am not at my sim computer so I will need to check this later and revert.
  9. Yes I do, does not help. In every video I found on YT, it turns on immediately once you switch to ANF provided you have selected RB75 in weapons selection. Safety switch needs to be flipped to fire.
  10. I though of creating a new thread about this as my problem is not fully relevant with that in the other thread. It seems that I can not get the EP13 to work at all. The procedure I follow is this one: 1. In the mission builder I have set up my waypoints towards the target and also set up a target waypoint, which in my case is M4. 2. After I pass B3 I select RB75 in the weapon selector and then I switch mode from NAV to ANF. I understand that the scope should light up at this point but it does not. It remains solid green. Hitting either T0 or T1 fix does nothing. Also switching modes between A1 and A2 makes no difference, neither does trying to increase contrast and brightness. The scope is totally inop. Am I missing any important step? I have not read anything different in the documentation.
  11. If you mean the weapon safety on the stick yes it’s on, although I understand that in ANF mode it should work even before you do that.
  12. I was thinking of starting a new thread but maybe this one is relevant. For me the EP-13 never lights up. After selecting the RB75 ans switching to ANF it should turn on and I would be able to slew the aiming point, right? At least that is what I see in tutorial videos and in the manuals. For me it stays solid green as in "off". Switching to A1 or A2 mode or selecting T0 or T1 does not make any difference, neither does trying to increase brightness and contrast. Any ideas would be appreciated.
  13. Does the F-16 work only in the open beta version? I have the stable 2.5.5.35461 and the F-16 does not show at all in the module manager.
  14. Anything done for the terrible shimmering? My post in the bugs section has 107 views and no replies. For me this is the biggest issue, very distracting.
  15. Exactly! I would be able to accept the inaccuracies or even the bad coloring of textures, but the shimmering/flickering problem of this map is terrible. I have posted on this in the Bugs forum but no reply yet.
