Are there plans for a dedicated server running on linux? I have a root server and would love to host a game. And I think most people having a root server are using linux. I see only 6 servers online where 2 have an acceptable ping but are password protected. Very frustrating.

What do you mean with "runs excellent". What FPS do you get? In external view I get around 50-70 FPS. In cockpit view around 20-30. After starting a game in parking position with 50% cockpit and 50% exteriors on screen I get around 20-25 FPS... Setting affinity for the DCS executable to 2 cores only adds 2-3 FPS but removes TrackIR lag completely.

Same problem here on XP Home 32-bit and Vista Home Premium 64-bit, nVidia Geforce 9800GTX. OS and drivers are up to date.

Same problem here with the x52 PRO! The slider and the big rotary are a little bit choppy. I use the big rotary for zooming. It is a problem of the stick. An application to smoth an axis would be cool.

ok, i think this game is the reason why i will search my room for the dvd and install vista 32bit ... never thought id do this again..

I bought BS via VISA prepaid credit card which is perfect for online shopping and safe enough for me as its prepaid (im from germany). I recently integrated several payment systems (fighting the lack of payment options - mostly cc billing, p-sms billing, voucher systems and also Paypal) and I think Paypal is one of the easiest system to integrate. But I have HEARD that some banks add fees to paypal transactions and I think Paypal itself takes additional 13% of order value. On the other side - even if revenue from Paypal is very low, its better than losing a prospective customer. I am sure I would have used bittorrent if I had no cc card. It is really bad that the retail version is coming after chrismas - I think a lot of people want to play this during their holidays.
