  1. I'm not a patch collector, but this one looks awesome !

Best $20 I've ever spent at an airshow, totally worth every penny.:D

  2. Ah, you met a couple of SPs from my squadron! Both are good dudes

Your Squadron had coolest patches at the Air Show my only regret was that I did not snatch up the aggressor eagle patch they were all sold out when I went to buy one, though I did manage to buy the Combat Hammer 2018 patch. I did learn that the Jets have the software for dual JHMCS but not the funding for the necessary hardware to make it a reality.:( Though the sad thing is that I already knew were the knob to turn on JHMCS was installed on the Jet I just could not read the letter that said HMD when I stumble upon a photo of a jet with JHMCS knob installed on google images. That peak into the cockpit brought a smile when I was able to confirm my suspicion.:D

Here some photos I took of a F-15E that on static display at the Blue Angles homecoming air show. The Aircraft was from the 335TH Fighter Squadron and when the Pilot and WSO finally showed up they deployed the Aircraft boarding ladder and allowed people to take a peak inside the cockpit. Unfortunately I forgot to take a photo of the cockpit.

    Thinking of this one?

No it was a color photo and it was an F-15C.

I manage to find non color version of the marketing photo of the Eagle.3_ds2tel.jpg?type=w2

Edit: Aircraft seems to be configured for flight testing.

  5. Another photo of 01-2004(bottom photo) with LAU-106 installed on the cheek station. not the first time the AF has install stores and load-outs on F-15's they cant fire or are cleared to carry for the purpose of aircraft sales marketing or to lobby congress to fund more upgrades. There is a old late 70's or early 80's MD marketing photo somewhere on the internet of an f-15C flying with F-15E CFT carrying a full bomb load on all the CFT stores. (top photo F-15C with 2040c concept load-out)6z1si8.jpg37657927491_6306ab1e67_k.jpg

  6. They are specific. Pic 3 (up close) is not that tail number. Foreign writing on fuselage, panel designations are wrong, ram air scoops above vortex generator wrong type, etc. easy to spot when you know what you are looking at.

And no, I’m speaking of AA loads on CFT stations (RC/LC)

Picture 3 was the up close photo of LAU-106 on the cheek station. I only found two up close photos of the LAU-106 that were of good quality on google images.10117163244_57a1c8e3bc_b.jpg10117443653_88cf7e0169_k.jpg

  7. 7155891875_b54e08ddd7_b.jpg7155898699_7f3dffa4bc_b.jpg

Spudknocker. Here two photos of F-15E 01-2004 with LAU-106 launcher installed on the cheek stations.

    10117163244_57a1c8e3bc_b.jpgf15ccft.jpg

If CFT are to be installed on F-15C/E the launchers on the cheek station are removed prior to installation. The CFT come with LAU-106 launcher installed

on then. On the f-15E CFT the LAU-106 launchers are stowed when not in use. When in use Bombs cannot be loaded on the long pylons and the bomb launchers on the long pylons are stowed (Stikeeagle801, jake melampy). http://www.zone-five.net/showthread.php?t=905&styleid=7

USAF F-15E's are exclusively used for A2G so you will rarely see LAU-106 launchers installed on the cheeks station. The photos of F-15E 01-2004 were probably taken at an air show to demonstrate to a potential foreign military sales costumer that the F-15E is not totally useless without CFT installed.4720880524_553cd11cd8_o.jpg

  8. Aim-9x have had issues with high bit rate failures on F/A-18C/D/E/F due to software issues with the Hornet. In 2015 DOT&E asses that the aim-9x was

suitable for F-15 and F-16c but not suitable on the Hornet(2015aim9x.pdf).

  9. Are there any F-16 with more than two MFDs? I never seen them. If you have a link, could you please posted? I seem some mockup or renders but never a active service aircraft cockpit photo with 3 MFD. I heard some are getting that, IIRC US ANG block 30 and some USAF Block 40/42/50/52 but I have not see how it looks.

F-16C block 30 from the 457th fighter squadron AFRC/355th Fighter Squadron (active-duty associate squadron) with the new center pedestal display.

  10. F-15E JUST got the capability to utilize AIM-9X with Suite 8 upgrade, which was given to operational units just this year.

    Thanks for the info.

  11. Since the original Forum threads on the F-4E module by Belsimtek are now only accessible through using link to Belsimtek forum page, due to Belsimtek merger with ED. I created this thread so that the community can post updates on the F-4E module development and discus technical information that related to the version that ED/Belsimtek team is developing.

Edit: decided to scrub the trivia game might make a trivia thread instead.

If the mods decide to merge the previous discussions on the F-4E by belsimtek please. PM me so that i can delete this post.

  12. To post youtube videos you just need this part

    tQ5F_PL50rw

    Between the you tube brackets

To start at a specific time, just add ?start=and the number of seconds

Thanks for the tip. But when ever i try to post a YouTube video on the forum I get an error were it won"t play on the forum. So I gave up trying post a video and just put a link to the video.:helpsmilie:

Edit: Disregard I fingered out how to post video.

  13. A bad one?!? Haha.

Honestly, I dunno...looks pretty dated. Looks like someone stole the aft nose gear door where the tail number might be stenciled on.

Thanks for the reply. I posted that photo and another photo of a damage Eagle earlier on the this forum thread as a sarcastic reference to F-15 damage model complaint that turned into a conspiracy theory on the forum. :D

  14. No. You are trying to compare old flight test footage with the operational variants.

They all sequence the same. If what happened in the first video still happened, we'd have pilots writing them up for slow to extends.

They are all built to extend the same way...

OK thanks for the reply to the question.

Question do you happen to know what kind of incident this Eagle was involved in?

    attachment.php?attachmentid=188895&d=1530474089

  15. That's a negative. Basically the exact same system, just some different names on the relay panels.

The export variants may be a little different, but the US C/D/E are the same.

Without getting too technical on the hydraulic and electrical "why", the sequence will usually go right, nose, left on the up and right, left, nose on the down...visual look of them all depending on the amount of hydro pressure and flow rate.

Don't know who did this or why, but this one is virtually spot on to how the real jet works.

Did the Air Force recently change the C Model Gear extend to match the E?

I seen videos of USAF F-15C Lowering it landing gear in flight and the sequence is different than the E model.

  16. There's a big difference in GPMs(gallons per minute) when you use a hydraulic test stand vs what the actual hydraulic pumps put out. The sequencing you are seeing is due to that, nothing more. The video is not really true to life. The mains are free-falling out of the well for about the first 5 seconds after the locks are disengaged, not sure if the exports have a time delay on hydro pressure to the actuators, but that's not how the real E models extend.

And by the looks of it, they are doing a system bleed on the utility system to work the air out.

It looks like the A-D models have a different landing gear extend sequence than the E model.
