  1. I dont know what to advise you to do, i had bad experience with Saitek sticks, (just check opening post of this thread) but there is people who did/do not have any issues. But in theory, X52 pro is a good stick, if you get good one. Good luck m8
  2. Couple of reviews for you. X52 pro is meant to be better than standard X52, it is newer product too. couple reviews for you at links below. X52 pro has been reviewed together with pedals and trackir, but they do not come together in same package http://www.simhq.com/_technology/technology_040a.html http://www.simhq.com/_technology2/technology_104a.html
  3. Caspet, exactly same issue here. Only way to get around that is to actually create profile through saitek profiler. Only thing you can and should do within the game are axies
  4. Your thought process is is sound Tiger. It never crossed my mind that it could be marketing machine from one of big guys talking.
  5. I am in the middle of looking over CH stuff, but only issues i have here it is price, all UK based sellers i managed to find charge quite a bit more than US shops. If anybody knows of any decent UK based seller please lemme know ) What can you do apart from stay away from brands that are iffy, and Saitek has been proven to be like that.
  6. I thought you would not be selling anyting, i am more or less the same :)
  7. Nice setup m8, most space on my hard drive is occupied by FSX and add-ons for it, but my hardware is nowhere hear as impressive as yours lol. I hear what you say, you are not the first one to say i was unlucky, but £ 300 is huge amount of cash for me at the moment and to risk it on a brand i burned my fingers on it is a bit of a dilemma. Whats Cougar like? you would not be maybe selling any of your kit you are not using? I work just next door to Dundee airport, sometimes i go and have an hour or two in their simulator. Graphics are not so great, its all powered by win 2000, but its full cockpit there, its fantastic, http://www.taysideaviation.co.uk/
  8. its kind of long story with my saitek sticks, check opening post of this thread i described issues there, hence reason me being so cautious about anything being saitek :) I just don't have nerves any more to go through replacement process again, it took about 2 months to get all this resolved, but stick i have is still under warranty, but i am not hopeful that replacement will be any better knowing my luck and inconsistencies with saitek quality EDIT just noticed i am in scotland too, Dundee
  9. well, i disagree slightly. If you spend time making something you should be rewarded for your work. When something is paid product you do get more than just a piece of software, there would be support, additional content, development and so on. I would be the first one to support bunch of guys who do such things from their bedrooms in their free time, i always have soft spot for underdogs.
  10. Thanks for this m8, but i do have question. All of the knobs and slider on the throttle, and mini mouse stick on my x52 pro are spiking constantly and sometimes jump up and down as i move throttle which makes them completely unusable, one would use knobs for trimming for example, but if you do your plane judders all the time as they spike. They are also overly sensitive, so fine trimming is out of the question even if they did not spike. Can you check in control panel and see how they behave? I hope i am not asking too much :) Cheers
  11. Three faulty stick, i would call that more than a bad luck lol
  12. If it is software problem, then maybe they will fix it, as for hardware problem it could be years for that to happen
  13. Cheers Sobek, then it is definitely no go.
  14. Its interesting how 2 big companies release new sticks and neither of them is actually 100% on target. Lets hope warthog guys have done their home work right.
  15. I have tried few profiles made by others in the past, but never worked for me. It is painfully simple to create your own. As i mentioned, it is simple to create, but it does take little time. Mode 1 i use for navigation which will have all your essentials to get you of and back to the ground, let you fly from way point to way point and choose which ones you want to fly to Mode 2 is for Combat, all your radar, targeting, weapon selection and defences. I have attached mine, try it on, i have named all commands but some are shortened, you will probably want to open mig 29s controls pdf located in doc folder at your FC2 folder to make sure you understand it all. This profile is for MIG 29, it will probably work with SU-27/33 as they are similar, but i have not tested it fully. For American birds and SU25 you will need something else. This is not full HOTAS profile as you still need to use some keyboard keys for certain things, but those are the ones you usually don't use frequently, like canopy open close, engines start and so on. Its still largely work in progress Mig 29s V2.rar
