In the past past ED did not accept paypal, do we know if that has changed?

hi all, I am just about to get x52 (not pro version) there seems to be either 2 different models, or it is as simple as different shops put different details into product name. On some sites it is called just saitex x52 and on the others saitek x52 PS28, are these different revisions? if they are what are differences between them IE which one is better ? Cheers Ved

Ah, its one of those situations where some people meet and hit of on a wrong note, shame really, why dont we just meet at one of the servers, fly a little together, tell few crap jokes, crash few times and be pals for a long time :) i cant get my multy working through lobby, but i am hosting quite often through Hamachi, if you want, we can meet, me and my pal fly quite often, welcome to join us, in fact anyone who wants to join is more than welcome, as long as you can suffer comapny of complete rookies, well me at least :)

Hmm Sobek, your comment number 1 is little bit out of order, Ali did not argue with mod,he expressed his opinion about his short answer, and Ali just wanted to find out more, at the end of the day this sim has steep learning cure, it gets me frustrated every 5 minutes, but it is also very rewarding when you work something out with or without someones help. This is a forum, i believe we can all express ourselves in the way we want, it is our duty to keep it clean, and if we cross the line mods are here to warn us, if any mods think someone has crossed the line thay will react and perform necesarry action. I just hope that mods are not as anarchical as you are, my most important human right and need is to have discussion where you are not going to be slammed down just by expressing your opinions, and so far this forum has been very helpfull and friendly, i hope it is going to stay that way. Ali was frustrated today, i may be frustrated tomorrow, who knows, one day Sobek you may be frustrated a little bit yourself, and i hope you will find someone who will give you an answer that will make sence and keep you happy.

I have sorted vista firewall issue,i haveo pened and allowed everything necesarry in there, no problems there. On sunday server worked perfectly fine, i tested by restarting PC few times, just to eliminate any services or unknown factors switching themselves on at every startup. I have also rebouted router few times for same reasons as with restarting PC, everything worked just fine. I thought that was it, all sorted, but no, yesterday i wanted to host and same problems are happening again. Its back to Hamachi for me till patch has been released.

Quite impressive urze, but i am not going to go this far with immersing myself into flying, its hard enough as it is to go to work every day, with toy like that i would sell my wife, my kid, rent all the rooms in the house apart from my computer room and will never go out again :)

thanks for detailed replies guys, somehow i thought that cougar, given its price will have better pot meter solution than saitek, but it looks like it is quite opposite. I have, well still am quite active in sim racing i had my share of steering wheels, all from logitech, and i did have problems with pedals pot meters spiking, it is extremley anoyoing, i completley agree with you CyBerkut. I had few forcefeebcack joysticks and none of them were particulary great, they get very loose and inaccurate very quickly, if you look into cost of FF sticks they are all in the range of £ 30-50, and something that costs this kind of money cant be very good, it would be ideal if someone decided to make little better, at slightly higher cost FF stick. I will stick with BS for a good while, but also looking forward to Storm of war Battle of Britain, and also play MSFX, Sturmovik 1946 and Lock on so i am not going to go into complete helicopter customisation as i like different flying machines.

I kinda got it working, server still does not show up in lobby, but people can joing uisng IP address. Thanks for your help

Hi all I am looking to get good joystick with throttle. I am considering Saitek x52, saitek X52pro or Thrustmaster Hotas Cougar. Basically my question is what is better option saitek, or Thrustmaster? If i buy one or another, i want it to last as long as possible, so important factors are reliability and of course which stick is best to use, precision, smoothness and so on. Any advice welcome :) Thanks in advance

Hi Jester, I am using standard Vista firewall, i have forwarded all ports in it too, i also tried with firewall switched off, but no difference. Only other thing i am using is lavasoft Ad-aware, and i tried with ad watch switched on and off with no results. Take care

Hi All, First i would like to thank DCS to creating this amazing simulator, it has taken over my life fully :) After opening all ports and trying every possible option my friend and myself are not able to get it working propperly through internet hosting. When my friend hosts i can join only through IP connection, i can see his server listed, but only his IP, no server name or other details.That works only ocasionally After i opened all ports and after follwoing all help and advice written in various forums i managed to host once, but server was unstabile. We decided to try it through hamachi, and i am glad it works without a hitch. We are enjoying coop missions and learning how to handle this beast, and its a blast. We are both experienced and have reasonable IT knowledge, it is unlikely that we set up something wrong or dont know to adjust system to enable internet hosting/joining. It looks like multiplayer needs some patching. Till then our best friend will be hamachi, since we are unable to host internet server if there is anybody interested into joining us and do some flying (crashing :) ) Pm me and we can arrange details till DCS guys find some time to update Multiplayer.
