    Could we get another channel in the audio settings that has everything but the voices (crew chief, jester, atc, etc.) This would be useful for bass shakers so you could have a main audio channel for headphones and a "bass" channel for tactile transducers or subwoofers.

    BS1 with VR

    in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark

    I have the old disc version of DCS: black shark. How would I set up VR with that? It has axis controls for shifting the head in 6DoF and axis for looking around so how would I set that up? I don't want to have to buy BS2 because I'm already getting the harrier in this sale and I don't want to have to wait until the next sale to mess with the KA-50 in VR. any ideas?

    P.S. I have a rift CV1 if that makes a difference.

    Can you attach your dcs.log we may see some clues.

     

    Also if you are running any unofficial mods it maybe worth removing them running a cleanup and repair and then retest.

    oculus rift 2 sensor setup

    Hey, I'm getting a used oculus rift ( Thanks Bond 42!) and want some advice setting up the sensors. I want a play area that I can move around in but also want to be able to play DCS and Elite dangerous at my desk. For DCS you have to constantly look down into the pit so I don't know how that changes the setup.     Remember that the UHF has 5 "encoders" to tune the radio, the VHFs have 4. I typically focus on the harder to reach stuff [aka the back of the pit] so that flipping stuff while maneuvering becomes a bit easier. Be careful though. I built one box a few months ago for stupid cheap. [60 bucks or so] then built 3 more.. You can never have to many buttons.

    Check around on the internet. There was Lenovo Explorer without controllers for 100$ new. Maybe you can find some also with controllers was 200$. That is best gen1 WMR if we not counting SO. 1440x1440.

    Second best choice is SO+ for 300$ still good option.

    Other options are 400$ Rift-S and higher all this if we talk only about new HMD other choice is to buy some used one.

     

    About GPU your minimum and cheapest option is RX 5700XT. it is 400$ GPU with performance in pair with 500$ RTX 2070S with possible potential benefit with new RDNA architecture using RIS (Radeon Image Sharpening) and Scaling to increase performance to Nvidia competitor.

    Don't get me wrong Nvidia 2080ti is the best choice but most expensive. We are now talking about best buy and cheapest options to get decent and satisfying results in VR.

     

    I'm building a PC with a ryzen 5 1600, 16 gb of 3200 ram and an rx 570, would that work for the f14?

    I've been playing both DCS and elite dangerous for Awhile and have only heard good things about VR with them. As a high school student, I don't get much income so I can't afford the more expensive models. Any recommendations for budget headsets that will work with elite and DCS?

    Help W/ opentrack

    hello,

    I've made a custom delanclip-esque headphone clip and have used opentrack and tuned in as much as I can atm. I still cannot look down or more than 90* to the right. until I can fix this I still want to be able to switch to a hat switch to look around. is there any keybinding I can use to switch to the hat? I know how to pause opentrack.

    Edit: I can also only look up when facing within 20* of forward and to look behind me and to the left, I need to lean to the right to get it to pick up. :p

    trouble with OBS

    hello,

    I've been trying to record DCS with OBS for a bit but am having some trouble. I am using a 1920x1080 monitor. I can get DCS to show up on the recording but on the recording, it won't go past the loading screen but will still play the music, any ideas?
