  1. Not sure if this has been posted, but I can't seem to generate a Russian Campaign using the Western Georgia scenario. When I click Finish, nothing happens. I can create a USA campaign, though.

I've set player side to Russia 1990 and Enemy Side to USA 1990, and it won't generate.

    Error Msg:

    "INFO:root:New Game Wizard accept

File "qt_ui\windows\newgame\QNewGameWizard.py", line 45, in accept

I experienced the same problem. Seems to work with other combinations though.

  2. Hi AtomicP,

In Options => Special => Tacview have you ticked the box "Create one file for each network client"?

This box must remain unticked if you wish to generate an acmi file for yourself as a user of your own server

Let me know if this helps!

Ah yes I think it is ticked. I'll check it out next time I host (forgot to check tonight).

    Thanks!

  3. I have a small problem I can't figure out with Tacview.

I can successfully record and view tracks in single player missions but when I host a server (in game, not dedicated) for me and my friend to play I don't see an acmi file generated. The track file is there in the usual place and I tried replaying that to see if that would be recorded but still nothing.

This used to work fine and when my friend connected I'd get a separate acmi generated for him. Now, nothing.

I have uninstalled then reinstalled Tacview 1.7.6. I'm using the free version. DCS is the latest OB.

Thanks in advance for any help!

  4. Merker said in https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3676295&postcount=1182 that they're aiming for November sometime:

"For now I can say that mid to late November is our target timeframe and we are very confident about that fact. Why no exact date? Well, the fact of the matter is that we’d still like some flexibility without disappointing anyone. Never fear, we truly hope to see you all flying this around Thanksgiving."

    So soon I guess?

  5. Hey i got the MiG-29A/S/G 2 weeks ago and so far I find it to be rather broken, I.E the auto pilot does not function, very little elevator authority at speeds greater than 500km/h, the plane becomes unresponsive when gear is deployed at speeds 350km and lower examples are it nose diving when gear is deployed leading to the plane crashing I almost have to trim up all the way so it does not crash, the plane is next to impossible to land maybe out of all of my landings 4/10 Are successful, on take Off the plane stalls examples are On take off and aproching Vr speeds the plane abruptly pichtes up even tho with little up trim and, the plane acts funny on take Off when flaps are used.

Also on a side note my Joystick is A Thrust Master T.Flight X HOTAS

I would love to know what are the recommended Curv and dead zones for the MiG-29 for this joystick

Thanks for reading, I hope this gets fixed soon. The MiG-29 is a true beast.

I have the same stick and I can take off and land no problem with the Mig-29S. I have a fair amount of experience with older sim aircraft without any fancy stability systems so that may help my efforts.

Keep your control inputs small and try textbook numbers for landings and takeoffs and see where that takes you. Probably worth checking you don't have any control scheme clashes or calibration errors on your stick too.

Good luck, it's a lovely machine to fly, very kinetic!

  6. Thought this might be more sensible posting here than the FC3 sub-forum:

I've been messing around with the mission editor setting up little scenarios for my own amusement and usually I can understand where I went wrong if something screws up.

But! I had a F-15C and F-15E set up to take off from parking, but rather than do that they just sat out the whole mission. On the Red base, two Mig-29A took off from parking no problem.

Thinking it might be something to do with my location on the base (in an A-10A) I moved my aircraft to a different base. No difference.

Maybe the weather? I had set up a dynamic weather system with 4 systems so the result was a decent crosswind and rain. Not too tricky to fly in.

To test whether that was an issue I set the weather to static and fine, so no rain or wind. Then the F-15s started to make their move.

So my question is does the weather make a difference? Should it? How do I know what the limits are if this is the case?

Note that neither F-15s were overloaded; they were at around 90% and both had waypoints plotted.

    Thanks!
