The Force Feedback didn't work on mine. I used a file found here to enable FFB in Vista, not sure if it works in game yet: http://www.saitek.com/uk/supp/forcefeedback.htm -
Do we have a date that it will be provided by?

Rapid what is that awesome LCD coming out of your case?

That's an awesome setup. I'll have to post mine if I had a camera.

You should print one for me at work and mail it :D

Forget Kinkos then, I can't pay that much.

Future DCS Modules to use multi-cores?
mR.Waffles replied to mR.Waffles's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
Will the next engine be able to play this module? -
How much would it take to get Kinkos to do it while we wait for an official release?

Future DCS Modules to use multi-cores?
mR.Waffles replied to mR.Waffles's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
Yeah I did the affinity trick. I'm running at 1024x768 with all effects maxed. I don't think those graphic settings really affect my FPS (GTX 280 FTW). 30 FPS just isn't smooth enough for me. I need 60. -
As I've never played a Copter sim before, I would like to know if I can order a printed manual since I paid for a digital copy of the game. I don't want to print a 350 page PDF!

Hi guys I'm sure this has been beaten to death, but I just wanted to make a quick post before going to bed. I'm an frame rate whore breed by first person shooters and a love for hardware. Currently my setup is Core2Duo E6600 OCed @3.3 Ghz 4 Gigs DDR21066 PC8500 Ram Nvidia 680i SLI Motherboard 1 Nvidia GTX 280 Vista x64 and I've noticed that the frame rate in Black Shark isn't running as fast as I'd like. I was reading that it doesn't support dual cores, and so I tried the affinity trick on Vista 64 but it still doesn't look as smooth as I'd like (I don't know how to bring up an FPS count and currently my machine is broken till I can get new thermal paste come Wednesday). Anyway, my Tracker IR is in the mail, and so is my new thermal paste, so I'm looking forward to getting my machine back to full speed and learn to play this crazy sim. In the future will new modules allow higher frames with dual core systems? Should I save up to buy the new Corei7? Anyone with these noticed a performance difference? Thanks, you guys have a good night.

How do you guys operate the controls?
mR.Waffles replied to mR.Waffles's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
My room mates cat knocked it off the desk and now it acts like it doesn't have power even with the power cord connected, so I'm gonna try to open it up and fix it. Not really sure how. Guess I'll just wing it! -

Ok, my force feedback portion of my stick is broken thanks to my room mates jerk of a cat, so the stick doesn't automatically recenter (all ffb is broken). I heard that might make it a pain to trim. I'm just gonna get the Tracker and try to click left handed and work on one thing at a time. -

Ok so you guys just click on all the buttons with the mouse left handed then? -

I don't have the money to get a new joystick (using MS Force feedback 2) so I'm thinking of purchasing a tracker IR. Which would be best? -
Hi guys I'm brand new to the game, and to flight simulation in general. I've always been a casual flight fan and decided to step it up and learn to fly this helicopter for real. Should I get a Tracker IR? As it stands now its really hard to fly (hand on stick) and move around the cabin/click the buttons with the mouse. How do you guys click all the buttons? Does the head tracker help? Is there a touch screen I can get? Let a newbie have some advice. Thanks!
