I've been refunded. Really happy and they'll definitely get more money out of me now

We need an engaging ground AI. I get that they are separate teams but this is just like decorating a hollow wedding cake.

I bought this module to help teach my Dad to fly.
When I first tried it in December, it didn't seem possible to hand over controls, thus making me park for future updates......
Is this possible now?
Thanks

I want a refund if the module stays like this.

As the WSO in a multicrewd Strike Eagle you have to request control authority from the pilot player. The default keybind for this is C.
Thanks will try

Is this possible and if so how?

Make sure are on the current build number one. If using MT, the DCS updater should not sure. The back seat HOTAS are functional as of the latest patch.
What does "sure" mean here?
I've managed to get my left grip working a few controls but I've definitely not got control of much
I'm on latest MT build
Feels completely broken

I'm so used to the F16 doing this on steerpoint change that I fear it will bug me when I finally take off in this bird (saving it for Xmas break)
-
I asked this for pretty much the same reason as you except I am using racing peedals for now so was "forced" to use it for my pedals.
Everyone says do it. If it isn't really causing you an issue at the moment then a future FM update might start causing you issues

If you're using the sticks as an axis then a smmall deadzone and curve are essential to me.
If mapped as keys there are new ramp up options

Right I've watched these vids and reapplied everything and even though I didn't think I was doing anything different, I seem to be more accurate now.
Thanks all

Thanks all.
there’s nothing here I don’t already know in principle it’s just that my results are so inconsistent.
Head tracked gun runs on auto range work fine. Tads shots seem much less accurate and it even seems like setting auto range works better than lmc and lazing

Please elaborate thanks

I had a good session last night and found myyself flying much better so I think something must have changed

I don't really have any confidence in the gun*
*other than as pilot with auto ranging, that seems to be reasonable at close range.
I've messed around in back/front seat, coop and with George (HMD and TADS of course)
In any range below 3.5k, moving or hovering.
It just seems to draw a circle around whatever I'm shooting at and I have a good head tracker plus same happens in TADS
The gun is hard work
Give me some tips please (I've been flying since early days and I've never felt like the gun was going to get close). Thanks

What was the symbology showing on the ASE page, and in what direction was it coming from? Maybe one of the ships?
PrtScrn is the default button for taking screenshots in DCS. They end up in the C:\Users\<username>\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\ScreenShots folder.
It's a search radar. Not a ship as it's to my left when the coast is to my right. It also flips from in front to behind as I pass over the intersecting runways where the targets are.
-
I was messing around trying to understand the yellow radar marks and how to find them.
Hit the sam search radar which disappeared. Only other thing I could see that might have a radar is the atc truck. Hit that but not sure if it counts as a proper target.
Is that the other radar or is there something else? Can only see ranks, APCs, below, trucks, artillery? and jeeps none of which extinguished the second yellow icon after I hit them.
Don't fancy struggling like this in a live mission

You might want to check your attitude. People are trying to help you here, even though this has been asked more than once. And before you ask, I fly VKB GF3 without springs (actually I have #10 spring per axis to keep my MCGU on extension to fall over).
If you don't like answers, stop being lazy and go through already existing threads in search for your answers.
You're reading attitude where it doesn't exist.
I've read many threads and flown for many hours in different configs. I'm definitely not lazy.
I've flown it with the FMC disengaged.
I've flown it without ever trimming.
Nothing changes for me when trimming or not trimmming. In fact, other than having to keep rudder held manually, getting in a hover seems easier for me without trimming.
I suppose the answer is as I kind of stated before, you're telling the FMC that you're in a place you want to be.

WSO pickle button is only connected to air to ground release circuits. No Trigger in the backseat. You can use the HUD repeater to employ CDIP or AUTO with any bomb.
The WSO cannot fire AAM's or the gun.
Thanks so are you correct about AAM and the guy above wrong?

For example, this thread (with a very similar title) where Raptor9 provided a great response:
The bottom line is, the systems assume that moving the cyclic around without trimming is just a temporary change in attitude, while trimming to the new position tells the systems this is the new attitude I want you to assist me with.
Seems like if you can answer why this isn't just another way of repeating my initial question I might have my answer.
What assistance do I need? This isn't a FBW jet like the Typhoon that will fall out of the sky without the computer is it? i can fly it with the FMC disengaged
-
Toying with getting this for me and my future WSO.
Can the WSO launch every weapon and fire the gun?

There's a lot about helo's which seems counter-intuitive for anyone used to fixed wing, you should check out BradMicks series of videos that are linked in this forum.
I believe he's a real world instructor pilot on the '64 and he's got the knack of explaining things in a very understandable way.
It'll probably help you to start right from the beginning with his videos, there is a mine of useful information in them. Good luck.I've done a lot of reading and can fly the apache reasonably ok. I fully understand how the trim works IRL. The issue I have is that without FFB, the stick isn;t held in place when trimmed. Honestly would like to know how many people commenting on here have actually flown without springs. It's the equivalent of flying the real AH64 but the part of the systems that hold the cyclic physically in the trim position are broken.
I get it though, the flight computer is expecting trim.

What Extra wrote. Like I wrote, you can observe this in the Controls Indicator.
I see. To bad you don't have the T. Flight pedals with them. One can turn them upside down. Remove a lid with on screw, then remove the one spring at has, which takes seconds to re-insert for planes.
Cheers!
I'm not too fussed about pedals at the moment, I intend to get some dedicated ones soon.
I'm also not sure why you keep tellling me to observe the controls indicator, I've run it for hours. The only thing trimming does is draw a rectangle around my controls. Nothing actually changes...unless I am not observing correctly?
