Having a similar issue, although mine seems more tied to the radar. Some rough numbers from quick experimentation: Jester, Radar off: ~80fps Jester, Radar on: ~50fps Human WSO, Radar off: ~40fps Human WSO, Radar On: ~10fps

Does anyone know if the video export toggle key bind is working right now/ if it works in replay mode? Was just trying to get some Lantirn footage and didn't have any luck with key binds or binding it to my throttle.

Hey everyone, Spent a good chunk of time tonight trying to get back into the viper but I was unable to get the mav's to work in preplan mode. After watching both wags vids I reproduced them step for step and still got not result. I set the mav to pre-plan and tried the T-Pod in both auto and man, found a target with the T-Pod near my waypoint, then once I was within ~7nm hit tms forward short. I got a "handoff in progress" message on the wpn display, but beyond that nothing else, ie the mav sensor didn't appear to slew at all. Like I said I tried in both man and auto mode but neither seemed to make a difference. For reference I was using AGM-65D's so the auto handoff/ preplan should work to the best of my knowledge. Hoping someone can point me in the right direction, thanks!

Hello, I removed the core mods folder and performed another repair, then tried to launch dcs. I did not get any "failed to authorize" messages, however the same problem of getting on the black screen after the splash screen is now back. I've attached the log file. I've actually been able to get it to launch (hooray!) by updating to stable then reverting to open beta. The launcher still says that I'm missing F-14b ai, Christen Eagle ai and Mig 21 ai, which is currently breaking my integrity check.

I've tried to clean up and repair my install a few times and it didn't seem to work. I then tried to roll back, first to the version of dcs just prior to the end of the free period ending, but it doesn't seem to be available on the servers any more. I then to the previous version of the open beta, but the updater dialog after running the command simply says that the installed version is up to date, then quits. I'm considering just doing a complete reinstall.

Sorry for the delayed response, I was away from my computer for a little while. I did as you suggested, and got the same result as before (Stuck on the black screen after the logo splash screen). This time however, all of the aircraft I downloaded and subsequently removed for the free trial period failed authorization, which was interesting. Hello all, I recently updated to ob 2.5.6.52437, but DCS seems to fail to boot every time I try to launch it. It fails to authorize a few AI aircraft “dlc”s that I’ve never seen/ hear of it needing to authorize before, then shows the splash screen but gets stuck on the following black screen. The log spat out an error about failing to initialize the GUI; I’ll attach the log when I get back to my computer. I’ve tried a few repairs and resetting the options.lua file, but neither have worked. Any other ideas would be appreciated.

That did it! I went back through the folder and found an extraneous ZIP file that somehow got in there after working on a custom skin. Thanks for the help!

my mistake, the folder is named "f-14b"

This is happening with USA as the selected country. All of the default skins are in the liveries/f14b folder.

Hey all, After the recent update, I can't select which paint is on the F-14 from the re-arm and refuel tab in game. To further investigate, I tried changing it in the mission editor, as was greeted with the same problem. This problem has persisted after several repairs of my DCS core, as well as removing custom paints. I've attached a screenshot of what the drop down menu looks like when "extended". All of the paints in other modules seem to work fine.

Hey all, I'm having some trouble getting the updater to work after installing it in its own folder. The "Updater Settings" button is not clickable for me on the main screen, any ideas what would cause this?

Hello, When I run .\dcs_updater.exe in the powershell, it just searches for an update then launches DCS. I'm having an issue with the f-14 and DCS recognizing that there are external textures, so I figured a repair is probably the way to go.

Hey all, I'm working on a custom F-14 skin, but once i zoom out beyond about 100ft from the model, the textures revert back to the default ones (grim reapers). I'm fairly new to the paint scene here, can anyone help me out?
