Thanks Max. Launcher set to 0 - DCS.exe crashes/closes with no messaging The repairer close at the verify phase with no message Deleted the _download folder and tried launching the game - No change The odd thing is there was no change between one day working and the next not. I checked my Win11 updates and it has no updates in the time period, so I'm at a loss

OK, just deleted it now in the savegame\DCS folder and still getting the DLL errors, so I don't think it's even getting to the launcher step For some more context: The failure point is during the "Verifying Installed Files" phase. I've done the sqlite file - No change I've deleted (.OLD'd) the DCS folder in saved games too - No change

Thanks Rob, good point. Yeah I have it excluded, I also checked quarantine logs and nothing from DCS was captured in there. I have a horrible feeling I'll be DLing the whole game again

Hi all, I currently have the following symptoms: On launching DCS.exe I receive the following errors; GraphicsVista.DLL is not designed to run on Windows etc Weather.DLL same message DTC_manager.DLL same message Launcher does not open. I tried to manually run DCS_Updater and perform a 'slow check'. This runs until approx halfway through the process and the repairer closes without messaging and then the launcher opens. On trying to open the the game, repair or update it fails halfway through and opens the launcher. So I am a little unsure how to progress. I can't run the game, I can't repair the game and I can't update the game. Apart from redownloading the whole game again (Oh god I hope not. It's almost 1TB on disk!) does anyone have some things to explore first that I'm missing? Thanks folks

VR stopped working and can no longer save MIZ files

OK, in the interest of hopefully helping another brother out in future: SOLVED! I finally got to the last resort of reinstalling Win10 and it works fine now! Whatever update I got on Saturday screwed something up for anything on one of my drives for some unknown reason. Not the elegant solution I hoped for but it worked for me. Hope it can help others :) Peace -
Hi all, I have randomly had a few issues with DCS since Saturday. 1) My VR has stopped working in DCS, I get a gray screen even though I can see it on the monitor 2) I can't launch anything in the game except training missions 3) When trying to save a miz file I get "Can't write file to x:/dcs/missions" 4) The log file has error points referring to "ERROR VFS: VFS_open_write: CreateFile(C:\Users\***\AppData\Local\Temp\DCS\temp.theatre): Access is denied. 5) The log also shows an error: VFS: VFS_open_write: CreateFile(X:\Missions\Caucasus_Sandbox_v15.miz): The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process. It seems to be pointing at a permissions issue but I am the only user and admin, and have full rights. I also tried running DCS in both admin and user but same result. Any ideas of another direction to start exploring? Cheers all EDIT - Attached log file dcs.log

Hi all, I picked up the Reverb last week, ran DCS (standalone) through SteamVR with the WMR add-on with zero issues for about 3 days. And now, randomly, all I get in both DCS and P3D (oddly) is grey in the goggles. In the DCS window I can see the menu etc but can't move the mouse and head turning does nothing. What is strange is that in WMR, SteamVR an other 3rd party games everything is fine. So it's only happening in DCS and P3D. Has anyone had this or know a direction to start looking in? Thanks all

More info: I can see and move around in WMR and SteamVR Home. When I start DCS or P3D I can hear audio but all I get is a grey screen in the headset. On the Monitor I can see the VR Environment.

Hi all, Last night I was playing away in VR (HP Reverb) no problems. This morning I start it up and the game loads into the VR environment however now the view is locked. If I turn my head nothing happens. Anyone have a hint about how to fix this? Thanks guys
