Hello! I've studied the F/A-18 avionics and system but now I have troubles with my first missions. Take the Alert 5 mission: I start from the carrier with my wingman and head east to intercept 4 bombers escorted by 2 Mig29. I have AIM7s and AIM9s. During my heading toward the target, I turn on ECM panel, turn dispende to ON an leave ECM on RCV (not emit, because this blinds my radar). I set AIM7 to NORM MORE. At about 40 miles I track the two Mig29 and I fire my first Sparrow as soon as it gets inside the vertical line; the radar goes to STT mode and I keep tracking the target waiting for the missile to hit, but well before I get shot down form an hostile missile (I suppose it is an IR one since I don't here the EW alarm). Where do I go wrong? What should I tell my wingman to do?

Ciao, sono entrato in DCS da un po', mi sono studiato un po' i sistemi dell'F18 e ora sto provando qualche missioncina, ma non capisco dove sbaglio. Prendiamo quella del 1989 Alert 5: parto dalla portaerei con il gregario, devo intercettare 4 bombardieri scortati da 2 Mig29. Sono armato con Sparrow e Sidewinder. Mentre mi avvicino, accendo la parte EW, metto i dispenser su On e gli AIM-7 in MODE NORM; il jammer lo lascio su RCV perché se no, quando parte, il radar diventa cieco. A circa 40 miglia comincio a puntare i 2 Mig davanti, appena arrivano nel raggio d'azione dello Sparrow, ne lancio uno, il radar va in STT e lo tengo puntato in attesa che il missile arrivi a destinazione; ancora prima, vengo buttato giù da un missile (credo IR perché non suona l'allerta missile) e non se ne parla più. Dove sbaglio??? Che ordini mi convien dare al gregario? Grazie!!!

Hello, I recenlty discovered VRidge (https://riftcat.com/vridge) and it seems great, but, as far as I can understand, it works only with Steam game. Is it possible to use it with DCS World (not Steam edition, of course)? TNX

I thought it was still in development: when I tried, it seemed not to be stable, ranging speeds from 130 to 170kt... Could it be?
