  1. Asus ROG 370E gaming Asus ROG Strix 1080 Ti 11GB Intel i7 8700K @ 4.7GHz 32 GB HyperX 3600 RAM 3x Asus 1920x1080 @60Hz Win 10 64bit Fresh v2.5 install graphics setting HIGH, no other changes ~30 - 45 FPS @ free flight over Nevada As a reference: 3DMark ~ 9400 - 9700 points in DX12 test with standard setup on this computer. I build this computer exclusively for sim racing but wanted to see how good old DCS performs now (never really got it to run smooth on the old one, hence didn’t use DCS for years). I just reinstalled DCS for the first time since years and have to get back into it. I hope sharing this helps some people out.
  2. I run DCS on a bootcamp partition with WinXP Pro on a Macbook Pro. I plan to change the original 250 GB harddrive with a new 500GB model. I have cloned my Mac OS X partition over to the new harddrive, which works fine (bootable, no issues). The next steps are: 1) exchanging the harddrives, 2) reinstalling Windows on a fresh partition, 3) reinstalling DCS. I understand, that during the process I have a 3 point punishment for changing the harddrive and another punishment for the possible change of the mac address (I am not sure about this though). As far, as I understand, I do not brake the 12 point boarder and have not to reactivate DCS, nor loose I any activations in the process. Is this correct?
  3. Thank you for the heads up. I am on an unlimited volume ADSL line here. The download always starts normal and breaks after a few hours somewhere above 750 MB. I will just keep downloading. A friend tries to get the data1.cab file from a torrent for me. Maybe that works out in the end.
  4. Since my purchase, I tried again and again, to download the data1.cab file. Always, the download times out after several hours ending up with several files of around 750 MB on my hard drive. Why is there no one file only torrent or other download possibility, that allows a save reconnect? 1 of the 3 download servers is always down (the Russian server). The second gives me download rates of 3 - 15kb/sec and times out after a few hours. The 3rd gives me somewhat healthy 30 - 150 kb/sec and times always out after giving me dead files of 750+ MB size on my hard drive.
