stuck on 5, killed everything then "back to CAP", then nothing happens, back to carrier when fuel low, but incomplete mission

I do all that, but when I park and quit I only see 50 in mission success, and can't proceed to mission 2

I ran mission 1 twice last night. I must be missing what the triggers are for successful completion of the Carrier Qual.
