  1. I appreciate everyone's feedback and help.  I did a complete uninstall of DCS and simapp to start over. I will have to check it out tomorrow to see if everything is correct.  As far as I know, the last time I was working on my displays everything was correct but will double check and make sure they are close as possible and no gap.  My luck its probably something extremely simple I am missing lol.

Never used those in particular, but when doing exports—did you set the monitor type to the correct one—set the resolution manually for total screen size to include those screens—and also disable full screen mode? Down a bit in the forums under “multi-display bugs” the first pinned post is a guide to setting up external mfd’s. Give it a read or two, it may help with a missed step when it comes to get the exported displays to show correctly. You may be able to skip simapp-pro all together and just export them natively.. not sure if the osb buttons need simapp to function, or if they can be manually bound. I’d bet there’s more than one way to get it done.

I have my Nvidia surround make my triple montiors into one, I think it came out to be 7600X1440.  When the MFDs added, it changed to 7680Xwhatever it was.  So that part seems to work, I havent tried disabling full screen mode, so I can give that a try. Simapp created a LUA to reflect the MFDs added to my screen size, so I can take another look at that too.  I appreciate the help, I am going to look at the guide and see if I cant figure this out.

Also side note, I saw a previous post of yours about moving the Comm menu to the middle of the screen.  I need to work on that too ha.

  3. Hi all,

I am at a loss on what is going on with DCS and my Winwing MFD setup.  I used the Simpro app to setup my MFD's, established which screen goes on the left and right, have the drivers installed, the lua file it creates etc but when I go to login into DCS, as soon as I get to the main screen it just completely goes white.  The very first time I got it to work, I didn't have this problem and didn't do anything different the next day.  I have no idea what is going on and not sure if anyone else has had the same issue.

For those you may wish to know I have a Ryzen 9 CPU, NVIDIA 2070 Super, 32GB of RAM.

  5. With the new patch update in open beta, the harrier MFD labels are beyond blurry.  It’s like they are too bold of a font. I have used the gain and other buttons but still blurry.  I never had this issue prior to the update and if I didn't know which buttons to hit, I wouldn't know where to click.

Anyone else having this issue or how to fix it?  I dont have this problem in the F18 or A10

  6. Hi all, I wanted to write some suggestions out that could be beneficial for gameplay.

    1) suggesting have a waypoint system upload. In the F10 map you can map out your waypoints and save it so it can be uploaded to any plane you choose.  So if you died, you can just re upload it.

    2) Simplifying the triggers in mission Editor.  Have it where you can map out an area, choose what happens in that area with drop down options.  The whole flag and making sure you select the right flag can be a bit much.

    3) Also suggesting templates in the mission editor.  Like fighters, bombers, SAMS etc.  I can select the map I want to fly on, how many enemy fighters I want and they can spawn at different times and locations.

    Happy Holidays all

What forum is that?  I thought this was the suggestion one?

  9. Hi all,

I am getting back into DCS after a 6 month break.  I am having trouble with my targeting pod not being able to skew left and right when it is SOI on my MFD (yes the diamond is on the correct place).  I can only zoom in.  I also cannot re-center the pod when clicking my uncage button.

I currently have the Hotas and I attached my key bindings below.  I have my sensor on my joystick, TDC on my throttle and TDC horizonal and vertical assigned the little black ball.  I do not currently have the TDC Slew assigned, I am not sure if that is the problem.

    Thanks again for your help

  11. Hi all,

I have 3 monitors set up and I turn it into one big monitor when playing the game. My prompt action selection (wingman, ground crew etc) is all the way over to the far right, is it possible to make that prompt be in top right of my middle screen so I don't have to completely look away?

I did not see anything online about this so I apologize if this has been answered before.

    Thanks

If you are in the F18C sim main category - it should be under HOTAS. However I am not 100% certain of this, but you can select the drop down box at the top, select search and type idle or off/idle (preferable) and should be able to find the two desired bindings. If for some reason that doesn't produce the proper search result(s), you could type in throttle and see what results that shows.

    Cheers,

You sir are a life saver. It worked and thanks all for you helped and responded. I truly do appreciate it

  13. The throttles should move without programming the idle cutoff.

Can you see the throttles moving in the axis menu?

Do the throttles work in an air start?

I can see the throttles move in the axis command part. I have it as left and right thrust accordingly. One thing to point out in the F-18 when I go to move my throttle to turn the plane on, in the game it doesnt move. I got in my A-10 and i can see the trottles move as i am moving it on my hotas

I will search for that and see what I can come up with. I appreciate you taking the time to help me.

  15. Hi all,

I am getting back into DCS and I had to rebind most of my keys to my throttle and joystick. I am running into the issue where my engine left and right power levers on my Hotas are not making the engine move in the F-18. I currently have them binded to the left and right thrust in the axis command but when I go to turn my plane on, the levers do not move in the plane. Is this a bug? I am doing the F-18 real controls and I went through the whole list to find left engine or right engine controls and have not seen any.

I dont know if attaching my saved profile will help but I would greatly appreciate any help.

    Thanks

  16. Hi all,

I have been watching new tutorials for the F18 on Wag's channel and I was wondering if anyone had a button layout that he uses for HOTAS throttle and stick? Some of his videos he was flying through controls and I am like whelp back to the drawing board.

    Thanks
