  2. Hi all, after extended testing, we found out that AIM120 dont hit a thing that is near ground ( >200ft) , - while the target is not in perfect notch.


    The AMRAAM never hits the target ,but always near it ,on the ground.

    We tried that from 20-15-10-5 miles.

    We tried to TWS and STT (nothing changed)


    The shooter was always above the target 10k - 5k - 3k feet, and the target was trying to notch. (not always perfect notch)

    The miss was 100% - all 6 amraams hit the ground. 

    The ground was FLAT.

    something is going on here - It looks like ground clutter affects significant the AIM120c. (Have not tried other missiles)

    It is very sad that, me and my friends cannot play together as Pilot and WSO (or RIO) in dual seated modules - paid campaigns like the ones with the F14 - AH64 - Mi24 - Mosquito. Also F4E+F15E campaigns are coming.

    How come and this is not implemented? If we both have bought the campaign, then what is the problem playing it together?
    That would significantly raise the sales of multiplayer campaigns and dual seater modules too.

    Your missile works vs AI but not vs players? You can't blame them for learning how to defend either kinematically or by well placed notching. Are you sure your shooting parameters are fine and take advantage of the missile specifics? Does AMRAAM have 100% pk for you?

    Instead of general "it's bad", please, send us some track or acmi, we'll check and tell you why your missile didn't connect. Then we'll have far more constructive discussions.

     

    I didnt say the missile is not working. it is just kinematical very slow. (even in low altitudes the missile cant pass 1.5Mach. (oh i know its not designed for these altitudes)

    I also didnt say that players cant be hit from an AIM54 because they defend well (Skill) , but because the missile cant kill if it has 1.5Mach in terminal phase (8-9miles).

    The missile is very bad, and cant kill. - i will sent you Tacview @ afternoon to check and tell (With shots from 40k & shots from 20k).

  5. Hey Karon, Thanks for the reply.

    AIM54 is slow and bad, and F14 has no place in DCS PvP - (Either Cold War because is too good - or in modern is too bad).

    The only place that F14 is OK is in PVE when AI goes almost strait to the missile.

     

    i'm not an expert so I cant say if AIM54 Data is accurate or not , thats why iam asking here :)))

    i understand that its speed depends on many things like Altitude - aricraft speed e.t.c - all im asking is if AIM 54 is accurate and if will it change dramaticaly in DCS.

    We already tried to remove all scripts in the mission one by one as to isolate the problem, and the result is the same.

  7. Just to clarify the above, 

    This mission works fine if you just load the 2.8 version of the mission.

    The mission gets broke, if you open it in 2.9's mission editor and save it (to update the mission to 2.9 as well.

    1. Refuel is slower thar other aircrafts in rearm (2308 lbs/min) in comparison all  other aricrafts (~2670lbs/min)

    2. External wing fuel tanks are empty when fresh rearming (even if you choose not empty tank)

    3. Airframe drag is higher that it is supposed to be.

    I got hooked with  the Mirage F1 lately, and I tried to do some stuff here and there.

    I understand that this is still early access and I found this module to be actually very nice and engaging (Both models)

    But - 

    Is this flight model some kind of accurate right now? or is it planned to change significantly in the future.

    I am feeling it veeery heavy(Even naked with half fuel) - and i don't thing it can dogfight at it should be , it is very dead at low speed, and it should not be that much.
