I am in the same boat. I got so confused with super high fidelity addons. They are nice don't get me wrong. I still having hard time with FC3 - F15C (trying to learn the radar from youtube videos). I would suggest that FC3 is the one to go with. Maybe after that L-39 (I got that too - I still can not pass the Kursant Campaign Level 1) - instructor wants everything perfect...yesh. FC3 and then L39+Kursant Campaign --- that is what I was able to gather from researching all the threads on here including reddit.

I never could find M2000C theme music. I love the A-10C, F-16 etc all the planes themes. I really do enjoy it. I get music on stable but not beta In Stable - music is there for A-10C, F16, F5, L39, FC3 - that is all I have for now. Just no music for Mirage M2000C

Hey guys, I am newbie to DCS (got on aboard early on) and did not play for a while. Right now I do have some time (don't we all). Is there a way to save position in a campaign. I have to keep repeating campaign 1 of Kursant and I am stuck - yes level 1. I want to be lined up on the runway. I hate to restart everything and then line up to runway. Just want to finish first campaign and then move to the next

Hi, Is there a profile for T16000M (full setup hotas+pedals) for this bird. I want to do the Kursant campaign. This plane to me looks less overwhelming than others that I own licenses for. I am hoping learning on this will aid me in flying other complex planes. Or is a joystick map on what to bind on the joystick. I intend to fly only in VR. Thanks

I had to disable hand controllers in order for mouse to work. It would have been nice to see both options enabled

Hey guys, I upgraded to 2.5.6 latest beta, and I am unable to see mouse in the airplane. I do not like to use touch controllers when i have joystick. It is super confusing on how to turn knobs with touch controllers. Should I go back to stable?

Should I submit a ticket to get this fixed? yeah I did a tutorial in non-vr. Though VR is the way, I got hooked to DCS.

I will bring down PD and see what happens. I have it set to 1.5

Hi, Just wanted to confirm that is this normal with Rift S - I am getting 40fps in VR. I even tried AWS off via occulus tray tool - still the same 40fps. Without VR, just on 2560x1600 windowed mode - I am getting like 110-115 fps. My settings are low for right now - just textures to high and cockpit textures set at 1024. I am on the stable build of DCS. Thanks

Thanks - where exactly did you put the mod files in? and once i get it working - this will apply to training missions also?

I can not figure out on how to install the mods especially when I am using the tutorial. I even changed the original files - with brightest. Can not tell if it is working. Even got OvGME installed - it says it is installed but can not be sure if it is working or not. I have Rift S now

Thanks - I did get the Mirage 2000C and F-18 for now. Originally, it was was challenging to see the controls on the panel in VR. Later I discovered the zoom feature and Flashlight. Either way very cool feel in VR. I know I will be spending more time in DCS later tonight to learn these birds. I was hoping for a jet with very easy to read dials and less control switches - more like touch on screen to turn on etc - slightly more automation like PMDG birds for Prepar3d for example. Is there a tool like Chaseplane for DCS? or can I make it work with DCS?

Thank - I also just discovered the Flashlight!!! Yep, I dialed down Gamma to 1.7 and flashlight is cool in VR

Hey guys, I just got my first two addons for the sim. I got Nevada and Mirage 2000. Now if I am doing a instant mission with take off from Nevada. It is set to evening or is it dusk. It is very hard to see the switches due to Gamma etc. in VR. I did play with gamma, I can make it go dark but then I can not see the switches at all (yes the red glow form cockpit is cool). If make the Gamma too max - it looks super washed up? Current Gamma is set to 2.2 Or is there way to make the mission change its time? like I can do in Prepar3d? Thanks

Based on spending all day on google and figuring out what addons to get for DCS. It really is the VR experience. Here is what I have in my cart - I am hoping this will last me well for a while. Persian Gulf Map, Nevada Test Map Planes: F/A-18C Hornet and M-2000C Campaign: M-2000C Red Flag Campaign - I read that this is one of the best campaigns. Does F/A-18C have campaigns? especially with Persian Gulf Map? Thanks PS - Just reading if M-2000C and F18 have full interactive learning lessons which will work in VR

Hi, I am 100% newbie to this sim (like 48 hours or so). I am trying to figure out on how to use mouse cursor in VR. I do see mouse support is enabled in VR settings of DCS. In the cockpit of the default trainer aircraft, I am unable to see the mouse cursor? does the mouse work on other aircraft or I have to remember all the keyboard commands to activate in VR. I hope I can ask questions on this thread. Even I am newbie (2 days old). Using DCS in VR (Rift CV1) with 980 GTX. From what I can tell from this forum - I should plan to buy FC3 (looks like great bang for buck deal for newbies). What is another good fully clickable (via mouse or hands) in VR and easy to learn addon aircraft? I am seeing F18 or Viggen? Any recommendation on campaigns? I may get the map. I am more focused on decent performance with my system and module with good lessons about the aircraft learning and fun missions etc. Again like the op, I am new to DCS. I am coming from world of Prepar3d
