  1. Hello, The 304th Virtual Fighter Wing is the sponsor of the 3344th Aggressors Squadron (REDHORSE). The squadron has several missions. The primary mission to act as the aggressor or opposing force for BLUEFOR training exercises. The second mission is to act as the adversary for mission and campaigns. Currently REDHORSE flies the MiG-21bis. We have started a "train up" for our conversion to the MiG-29A upon release. The train up is utilizing the FC MiG-29A. Our squadron is small, but we intend to grow it into a larger unit that offers services to outside Squadrons/Units. We are in the process of writing SOP and learning tactics. We use a live GCI/AWACS (when available) with LOTATC and SRS. We are a "mil-sim" unit in the sense we are attempting to use historical tactics as much as we can (where it makes sense in DCS World). If you are interested in learning more, join our discord and DM Gustav for more information. Come learn and grow with us. https://discord.gg/9nJETXgTrE
  2. I'll give this a try. Thank you.
  3. Hello all, It's been awhile since I built a road base for the Viggen. I've noticed that some of the unit names have changed over time. In the past I would create a ground vehicle group called "GroundCrew" and include the M818 cargo truck, the M978 HEMMT refueler, and the M1025 HMMWV. These units have different names now and they don't seem to work. Does anyone have work around or new procedure for creating a functioning road base? I appreciate your time. Thanks in advance.
  4. I'm having the same issue that the OP has. It seems like the Viggen will not rearm. The loadout screen tells me that the weapons are "unavailable". The AJS37 spawns at a road base, hot start. I'll give the "invisible FARP" a try.
  5. Thank you for taking the time to read my post. ISSUE: Severe drop in frame rate during multiplayer. When connecting to various multiplayer servers, I find that I have very low frame rates, warping and shuddering during game play. Especially after connecting or getting into the cockpit of a plane on the ground. I see a marginal improvement after takeoff. It is pronounced when I move my head using Track Ir. Pertinent Negatives: Single Player gameplay is without issue. When I connect to a server I usually have low ping rates of 20-40. The issue seems to be on every map, and every aircraft but is confined to multiplayer only. Specifications: Processor 11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-11700F @ 2.50GHz 2.50 GHz Installed RAM 16.0 GB (15.8 GB usable) DDR4 2TB HDD with a 512GB SSD (OS and DCS installed) Edition Windows 11 Home Version 21H2 Installed on ‎3/‎4/‎2022 OS build 22000.556 Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.22000.556.0 Graphics NVIDIA RTX 3070 Driver: 6/21/2021 version 30.0.14.7111 8GB Native Resolution 2560x1440 at 60Hz Mbps Download: 274.1 Mbps Upload: 12.0 Attached, please find my DCS settings. I am hoping to get some suggestions how to improve performance. My internet connection seems to be working properly with other applications. Gaming wise, I only play DCS so I can't give you more data. However, music and video streaming works without issue. I am the only user of the internet connection during gameplay. The server I regularly connect to is professionally hosted... and the problem is with other servers as well. Thank you in advance for your help. Warm Regards, Gustav
  6. Thanks to everyone who replied. I just did some informal (and far from scientific) testing with the MiG-21 SPO Jammer and and my buddy in a F/A-18 and M2000. It seemed like his radar did not "see" me until he was much closer. I tried different "modes" and configurations and it all seems about the same. In a few head to head instances I got close enough without a Sparrow launch to toss an R-60M and make the hornet turn before the 3-9 or destroy it out right. The M2000 was different matter, the radar does not seem to be as confused by the jammer. (I did however, by blind luck and complete accident, manage to shoot down a SUPER with an R60. Foul language was used.) My buddy reports that the M2000 did detect the 21 at about the same range, but perhaps the ability to lock was somewhat diminished. The video above has convinced me that the jammer is not worth taking against SAMS. Unrelated: I have found that the U/22A jammer on the Viggen is great for SEAD against older SAM sites (not the S300). If the Viggen comes in low, fast, and with the jammer on: It can hit the SAM site BK90s or high drag bombs easily.
  7. Hello! Has the SPS-141 pod been updated? There seems to be some mixed views on it's functionality. While I understand that DCS only has a basic ECM/jamming model, does the SPS-141 work at all? For example, the Viggen works pretty well against SA-2 and SA-6 sites... can the SPS-141 handle a Hawk site? Maybe not jam it completely but get me close enough? Thanks! Gregg
