I don't think it is as dumb an idea as some people think. I prefer to fly helicopters in X-plane and Flightgear with mouse controlling pitch and roll, and use my joystick throttle with other hand. I find in these sims (with the mouse) I can be much my accurate with fine rapid adjustments, helping a lot with hovering and landing. Lets face it, your common joystick isn't a very good substitute for real life helicopter controls. Using a mouse in the sims I mentioned does feel very un-natural and takes a lot of getting use to (relative to a joystick). I also understand that the FM in Blackshark is much more advanced than Flightgears and probably X-planes also, just saying people shouldn't dismiss the idea out of hand...and hopefully someone can provide an answer to the original posts question.
