  1. OK - I'll wait for the patch. Thanks.
  2. I have had a go at the 'Gauntlet' mission. This inevitably requires a re-arm. My questions is, how do I get the rest of the wing to re-arm and refuel with me, then take off again to continue the mission. I landed at the FARP point in the mission; one of my wing landed too, the other just hovered near the FARP. When I took off the landed wingman did nothing and the hovering wingman got shot down just before I did by an Apache. At that time I couldn't use my missiles because the laser wasn't offering a range to target, so I couldn't get a clear to fire. From experience I know that going manual is no good. Ta. Monkshood
  3. I have noticed this too. To begin with all is well, then, after some time, the laser stops showing range to target and I don't get a clear to fire notification and can't shoot. Also, if I switch to manual, I shoot a missile at a locked target, but the missle falls short. Also, if I lock a target and switch to guns, the guns fire off target, unless I'm very close. Dunno what's going on, but it messes up my missions. Ta. Monkshood
  4. OK - I think I've sorted this one out now. I found I couldn't designate targets using the NC panel. Problem arose because the text in the manual does not coincide with the text in the actual cockpit. So I had to do a little guessing and had managed to put a switch in the wrong position. Even managed to get the wingman to do a little baddie bash as well. This is getting better all the time. Ta. monkshood
  5. I have been having a bash at designating target points using the Shkval, ABRIS and NCP. I managed to designate one target, and give it '1' as a designation number. But after that I don't sem to be able to designate another target. Of course, as far as I can see, I'm following the manual, but it dosen't seem to be happening. Could well be something I'm not doing right, or maybe something else. Any suggestions most gratefully received. Thanks. monkshood
  6. OK - I might have sorted this out. I just flew the instant mission again. This time, in options, I set the gun exclusively to Btn01 (trigger) and the missiles exclusively to Space (space bar) and this seems to have sorted out my non-releasing weapons issue. Conclusion - you can't assign the same control to fire both the cannon and the missiles - e.g. Btn01. (even though their operation is seperated in the cockpit by pressing 'C') So, at last, off we go baddie bashing. Ta all. monkshood
  7. Sure, I have tried Manual, but that makes no difference!!
  8. Some Screen grabs If anyone is interested here are three screen grabs of me setup and ready to loose off a weapon from the outer station on the pylons to a stationary vehicle target 5.6k away. I'm in the hover, (auto hover) I have assigned the weapons release to Joystick Trigger (Btn01) and Space Bar (same as the gun). Note that I also tried this with the default button arrangement (Btn02 and RAlt+Space) but the effect is the same. In this example I have pressed the space bar for several seconds with the target in the reticule as shown but no weapon was released. If this was the gun ©, I could have shot every round. If anyone can throw any light on this I would be most grateful. Thanks. monkshood
  9. I'm outta ideas Well chaps, I'm out of ideas here with this weapons thing. Tried everything I can think of but to no avail. Yep, I can blast hell out of the baddies with the cannon, but I can't do a thing with anything on the pylons. Ive gone through the manual again and again and worked through it step by step. Even if I take control of the weapons training mission after the trainer has got a couple of shots off I can't do anything. I'm flummoxed. I know, of course, the keys to fire missiles is different to the trigger to fire the cannon, but if I leave the default keys or change them it makes no difference, still can't get a missile off. All the buttons on the joystick work, 'cos I've assigned and tried them on different things. I'm gonna go back and study the manual yet again, but I'm not hopeful. Any suggestions well received. thanks. monkshood
  10. OK, I'm new at this, but I have been patient enough to go through the manual. and some of the training sessions. Trying this in the instant mission. I can't seem to release any weapons from the pylons. I do the right stuff; I select the outer (or inner) station, I turn on the laser and ground targeting, I arm the weapons, I lock up a target at about 4 to 5 k and get a good lock. But, when I want to release the weapon nothing happens. I can select and fire the cannon at will, but I can't drop anything of the pylons either with the original control settings or with a bespoke trigger and spacebar choice. I can hit and kill a target with the cannon, move on to the next target, select inner or outer station (with weapons available) and try to fire but nowt happens. I'm not too close and I'm not too far, but do as I may I can't get them away (oh - that rhyms) My wingman is having a merry old time bashing the baddies, just wish I could join him. Any suggestions greatfully received. Ta. monkshood
  11. Hi EtherealN, Thanks tons, I found the AI and turned it off as you suggested. Now SB runs OK. Ta. monkshood
  12. Thanks Etheraln, I'm not sure what Catalyst AI is and how to turn it off. I fiqure it's something to do with the ATI graphics card, but beyond that I don't know. Any pointers gratefully received Thanks, monkshood
  13. I have the same problem it seems. I just installed Black Shark and all I get when I run the prog is a white screen with an error box saying that Launcher.exe has stopped working. I can run the Multi Player version, butI can't run the single player version. This is awfully frustration for a fresh install on my Vista64 platform. Any solutions gratefully received. Ta. monkshood
