Just out of curiousity, how many of you use the cheat function to start the aircraft? I can do it by flipping every switch but I normally just let the computer do it and then set it up before I lift off. Just curious

Not to offend any of my comrades in the former soviet union but why the heck would they make this thing so hard to fly? When I'm at low speeds or trying to hover, I'm constantly having to adjust the trim because the rudder goes left or right , then it goes right to left but I do a better job hovering on my own then the damn autopilot. Any ideas why the rudder is acting crazy?

Thanks for the tips I am getting better at it but getting to zero speed is a mission. Collective brake is F but I haven't tried that so off to the shooting range.

Ya I did disable it and it definetly improved my Trim. I think I got the hover thing licked but is it normal that you are not completely still, meaning 3 knots in any direction for movement? I'm still figuring it out. What should my autopilot be at , I have the bank pitch and alt on but mot the FD? DO I fly with FD on? And also is there a way to change the mode my hud is in because when I switch to missiles or guns I lose my speed info. Thanks for all your help guys I really really appreciate it!!!

Ok I definetly got into a hover , But I'm not staying put, the wind is only 3 m/s I am using the shooting range mission to practice. Even when I am at only 2 kph it still noses up on me not as bad and my trim is set so that basically hands off I am even with the horizon and not climbing or descending. This trim is definetly tricky, I'll post a track if I can find out how.

I followed some videos on Youtube but my heli refuses to hover, I slow below 12 knots and make sure that I am not climbing or descending. I make sure that the 3 AP lights hdg ,bank and alt are lit up and press alt-T but the heli then noses up and starts moving backwards really fast. Thanks for any help.

Hi guys, I'm looking for some training and the possibility of joining a squad. I would really like one that has training or people just open to show me around. I've watched the videos and so forth but am not a great heli pilot. I also don't understand some of the mods. Can I put any of these in and still be able to fly online? And I see tons of weapons packages but how do I use them because in the sim I have never been able to change my payload. Thanks for any help

Thanks for the replies, right now I have AA set at X8 in the Nvidia control panel but in the game it looks like it's X2.

Is there a way to land at the base and get more bombs and missiles? And also is there a trick or how should I have my Anti Aliasing setup , through the vid card or in game, I have a GTX285 and I7 920

Just getting back into lock on. I got flaming cliffs as an upgrade but if I want the badest lock on what mods or in what order due I need to upgrade things? I just upgraded my computer and it's smoking lock on now so I want to have the max everything visual and models. THanks for any help

Why is it that some still use lower upgrade versions of Lock On then the recently released? Like I see alot of mods and stuff for 1.02 but not to much for flaming cliffs? Is it something different? THanks

I'm also back after a long break. It's good to be flying again, still a great sim. I have a quick question. Before I start loading mods and such is there anything I need to stay away from in installing that would prevent me from being able to play online? Is there like a standard must have lock on flaming cliffs ? If I have the new f-15 installed and the server does not will it boot me? Thanks for any help on getting my installation up to par.
