  1. Thanks guys. So...which size, I wonder? I'll do both. And with which command/ME function do you actually upload them to the .miz?
  2. Ah, ok, Nate, I stand corrected.
  3. Could someone point me to an explanation/confirmation of how to do this? I intend to take a screenshot of the ME map image with PrtScr, then use MS Paint to annotate it with an overlay. However, I am not aware of optimal output size/resolution or the destination file for the graphic to show up in the briefing. Thanks, guys...as ever.
  4. This looks quite ingenious. But what do you use it for?
  5. I feel your pain, Sobek, but if you boys had changed the default NET settings to 01/01 in 1.1.0.7, you wouldn't be dealing with people complaining that JTAC doesn't work!
  6. The "1" key? I thought it was "l" (i.e. lower-case "L"). Rob10, if you have a HOTAS with the left throttle button ("Pinky Switch") function mapped, AP engage/disengage is LTB UP in the A-10.
  7. "Zwei", "Englische Schweinhunden!" und "Bingo".
  8. Thanks Dragon. These look great. Confession: I was so curious that I signed up as you had originally requested and got them from your web site. It would be fun to fly with you guys some time, although, whereas I can operate the A-10 and speak schoolboy German, I cannot do both at the same time.
  9. There's no option to make it invincible, it's a static obect with the very limited static object menu. I will test it again, play with the trigger "Group alive less than..." and see. If the issue persists, I'll post the .miz, thanks!
  10. I've already named every individual in a squad of grunts after my high school class of --- gulp --1976. It makes the debrief more meaningful if your danger-close CBU delivery killed half of them.
  11. Thank, Druid. I have never used the "Add Radio Option", i.e. F10, in the ME. Is there anything I should know before diving into it to replace the CAP idea with a series of options for the player to communicate "Target destroyed" via F10? And because the targets are randomised, is there some way to set this up so that you don't see the list of available targets in the F10 menu? Otherwise you'd jnow whatother targets there are, even before you get assigned them...
  12. Gizmo, good news, they are working on giving us access to the briefing while in flight, for the next patch I believe.
  13. I have the British accent, Dukeboy, but thanks. I wrote the SAS into my mission just to give myself a role!
  14. No big thang but I'm asking because I need to destroy the Insurgent FARP -- a rather big tent-like structure -- in order to trigger an event in a mission and I was surprised when testing this evening that the 12 appeared not to accomplish this even though it was a direct hit. Does anyone know if this is an anomaly or to be expected? If a GBU-12 is not up to the task I may either have to give the player a GBU-10 or (more likely) edit the trigger using a "Group alive less than..." condition so that a hit of, say, 50% lethality will be enough to flip the switch. Thanks!
  15. Thanks so much, Grimes, I genuinely understand most of this logic, patiently explained by you, so I think I may be getting the hang of it, although I will never be a logician. Just to verify: when you refer to the "Play mission" trigger, this is my "Trigger trigger" trigger, right? Thanks again.
  16. Edit: Ok, I think I fixed it, yet to test but I think it will work (although I've said that before). See Flag 50.
  17. Well I don't know whether to do Colin Firth or Bob Hoskins yet but either way, I hope you will be amused.
  18. That's a great find, Apples, thanks! According to that converter, the above reference, in MGRS is: 38t MN 864665 Obviously "our" A-10's CDU does not take the 38t. Can anyone confirm if the Central Meridian value should be fixed at 045.00.00.0000 E for these calculations? Now I have to decide what would be more realistic in the scenario, L/L or MGRS. MGRS certainly seems more popular with the players.
  19. Make sure NET settings in the TAD for both you and your wingman are 01. They are not set to this by default. When your #2 calls out a target, order him to attack it. This will cause his SPI symbol (the white "castle") to show up in your TAD and you can then cursor over to it, TMS SHORT and LONG to ground-stabilise and make it your own SPI. This is a very useful function. AI wingies might fly into SAMs but they can certainly spot targets.
  20. Thanks Brum! And thanks for your service.
  21. Speed, it has to be LAT-LONG, because that is the only coordinate format outputted from the Mission Editor...unless you can tell me how to convert it!
  22. Thanks Druid. If that is confirmed as true I will probably eliminate the CAP. It's a night mission, with a Hog CAP over the ground objective at Angels 20. I wonder if it should be called an anchor point?
  23. Mia, see above, .miz uploaded. I don't think I am as mathematically advanced as you...and Grimes is in a whole other league. Mwd2, see Grimes' response to my similar question re. randomised mission allocation in another thread here. He lays it out pretty clearly.
  24. Thanks. Would they read out "N" and "E" before each series of numbers or is it SOP to assume that the first series is N and the second E, thus eliminating the need to identify each coordinate by letter?
