  1. Thanks Dragon. These look great.

Confession: I was so curious that I signed up as you had originally requested and got them from your web site. It would be fun to fly with you guys some time, although, whereas I can operate the A-10 and speak schoolboy German, I cannot do both at the same time.

  2. Thank, Druid. I have never used the "Add Radio Option", i.e. F10, in the ME. Is there anything I should know before diving into it to replace the CAP idea with a series of options for the player to communicate "Target destroyed" via F10? And because the targets are randomised, is there some way to set this up so that you don't see the list of available targets in the F10 menu? Otherwise you'd jnow whatother targets there are, even before you get assigned them...

  3. No big thang but I'm asking because I need to destroy the Insurgent FARP -- a rather big tent-like structure -- in order to trigger an event in a mission and I was surprised when testing this evening that the 12 appeared not to accomplish this even though it was a direct hit. Does anyone know if this is an anomaly or to be expected?

If a GBU-12 is not up to the task I may either have to give the player a GBU-10 or (more likely) edit the trigger using a "Group alive less than..." condition so that a hit of, say, 50% lethality will be enough to flip the switch.

    Thanks!

  4. That's a great find, Apples, thanks! According to that converter, the above reference, in MGRS is:

    38t MN 864665

Obviously "our" A-10's CDU does not take the 38t. Can anyone confirm if the Central Meridian value should be fixed at 045.00.00.0000 E for these calculations?

Now I have to decide what would be more realistic in the scenario, L/L or MGRS. MGRS certainly seems more popular with the players.

  5. Make sure NET settings in the TAD for both you and your wingman are 01. They are not set to this by default.

When your #2 calls out a target, order him to attack it. This will cause his SPI symbol (the white "castle") to show up in your TAD and you can then cursor over to it, TMS SHORT and LONG to ground-stabilise and make it your own SPI.

This is a very useful function. AI wingies might fly into SAMs but they can certainly spot targets.
