  1. This problem appears to be happening more as more people are getting TH2Go's. Has anybody gotten it running with 1.01 at 5040x1050, with or without the res reduction solution? ED, please start dealing with this one.
  2. That solution worked great for me too for 3 of the last 4 months, then it stopped for some reason. No driver changes or new hardware, it just stopped cold and reducing the res gave the same desktop freeze like before. 1.01 does nothing to help, much like the ED devteam.
  3. PS... the Matrox people were very helpful when confronted with their own TH2Go drivers' incompatibility with any nVidia driver newer than 182.5. Even though they have yet to fix it, at least they acknowledge the problem and get you up and running again. I for one am not buying the BS manual hardcopy or certainly DCS:A-10 until this issue is resolved or I at least see some action from ED.
  4. I was having the same problem too, until about 4 months ago when somebody told me to reduce the desktop res to the next setting down before starting BS. It worked great, 3 camera mode at 5040x1050 is spectacular. Then, about a month ago, it stopped working for no reason, just got the desktop freeze like it did before I discovered the original fix. The 1.01 patch reset the options menu so I could start the game again at least, but now reducing the resolution does nothing to fix the problem. Backing up your options.lua files and restoring after a crash at least gives you back the default game settings. ED team, you push the Matrox TH2Go product on your own packaging and website. Please take some responsibility here and don't pretend this is the first time you've heard of this. Of all the responses I got to my original post back in May, none were from ED people.

  6. Problem solved. For anybody else experiencing this, it's the result of using 5040x1050 game resolution with 5040x1050 desktop resolution. Decrease your desktop res to the next 16:10 res down the list, then re-run Black Shark. This MIGHT require a clean install. Set BS to 5040x1050 and you're good to go, but be sure to use 3-camera mode for a 180 degree panorama.
  7. jskibo you're the best! It works great now, 5040x1050 with 3 cameras gives a great 180 degree view. The GTX295 is plenty of balls to get 50fps at this resolution. If you're ever in Toronto I totally owe you a beer! Thanks!
  8. :helpsmilie: I'm still trying to get to my gamer PC past my daughter and try this. Are you saying it will run if I down my desktop resolution to 4320x900 and run BS at 5040x1680, or run BS at 4320x900? I might actually cry if all this work and $$$ (based on Eagle's own promotion of the Matrox TH2G in the packaging and website) didn't even deliver. :cry: Ironically, FSX, which sucks the big one when it comes to performance and compatibility, works great with the TH2G. Also works great with Sins of a Solar Empire, World in Conflict, Bioshock, Dead Space, and Oblivion.
  9. Dear Black Shark forums: HEEEELLLLLLPPPPP! :helpsmilie: With that out of the way, I have a system that until recently ran BS just great at 1680x1050. After setting up a Matrox Triplehead2Go Digital with 3 1680x1050 monitors, everything fell apart, but not in the way you'd think. On a fresh install of BS everything appears great. It'll run windowed at 1024x768 as long as I don't touch the options. When I do, it goes to refresh the screen and never comes back, just an unresponsive desktop with the BS menu music playing on a loop. The task manager says it's running, but I can't get anything from it. I have tried 1680x1050, 5040x1050, different aspects, fullscreen, windowed, 1 camera, 3 camera, even mucking about in graphics.cfg and options.lua. When I restore the backups of those files, the game runs again in 1024x768.   10. Hi everybody, I think I have this figured out, but to fix it I need to disable the fullscreen mode from outside the program. Can anybody tell me which file holds this toggle, and maybe offer some insight into running 5040 x 1050 at 57Hz? I know to use notepad++ and do a backup... Thanks!
  11. Hi everybody, I have recently gotten my new triple monitor setup going with a Matrox TH2G digital and three 22" monitors at 1680x1050 each. It's working with everything else (for the most part) but KA-50 won't start. I have uninstalled and reinstalled KA-50, which worked great. However, when I went to the graphic settings and checked 5040x1050 and the fullscreen toggle, the program froze. I believe it's a problem with the fullscreen mode, but I can't get into the program to disable it. Can anybody help me out? I don't want to go mucking around in the .cfg files without knowing what I'm doing. Thanks! trueman832
