  1. Hi everyone, Has anyone ever experienced this before when using NVG in Open XR. Inside the headset it appears that the NVG image has been chopped between the 3 & 9 o’clock and the lower element is projected further across to the left than the top half. This leads to a perceived black spot in the left and right sides of the image inside the headset. On the monitor though, it looks good. When I ran DCS through Steam VR I never had this problem. Just wondered if anyone knew of a workaround to it. Running DCS v2.9.7.59263 with a VRGineers XTAL 3 8k headset. I’ve tried with Gazelle, Blackhawk and Mi-8 and every aircraft is the same. I’ve attached a photo of how it is outputted and displayed on the monitor vs VR View inside the headset.
  2. Interesting discussion on here. I can tell you that there is no "Black Magic" involved with talking to an AWACS "Magic" aircraft. As long as you've both got the right crypto fill, you just dial up their frequency and off you go! We checked in with them prior to coasting in on every mission, for a mission update, co-ordinate any other call signs assigned to us (CAS / SEAD) on to our dedicated mission freq and they would then confirm they had us on radar and off you go. No different to chatting to a ground unit, or other aircraft in your patrol. We also flew alongside French Gazelles on that Op. Now whether or not they checked with AWACS I'm not sure as they weren't part of the NATO Mission.
