  1. This track is a simple flight from Vaziani to Odessa (The total trip length is around 750nm) with a Mirage 2000-C equiped with its central fuel tank (dropped when empty). I flew over Sotchi, Anapa and Sebastopol at 1.8M / 62kft , using nearly PC min to maintain that speed. The fuel consumption was very low (I don't know if it is realistic) at this altitude using minimum afterburner: below 60kg/min.

I tried to fly the same trip at 63kft but after 30min the M53-P2 sent me a CALC fault. So I engaged Secours Carb but I must have pushed the mini throttle too fast and the engine exploded, then I splashed in the black sea and returned to real life.

Does anyone know what is the best flight profile to get to M2.0 / 50kft (less time / less consumption)?

I read the M2000 could do it in 4min from break start.

Many thanks RAZBAM for your recent work on the Mirage.

  2. I just tried the Mirage F1 from Aerges today, which has the same Canopy altimeter and PCAB warning light as my favorite Mirage 2000-C.

But the pressure law seems differently coded in the Mirage F1 as the cab alti stays below 30kft, and the PCAB is not lighting even when flying at 75kft.

Can someone at Razbam please check what is wrong ?

  3. Thanks RAZBAM for the good news and for your work on the manual MyHellJumper.

Will it be necessary to maintain full Mil Power above M1.4 (M1.6 ?) or will the FADEC do the job for us?

Will there still be some kind of engine compressor stall above lvl 655 ?

  4. Compared to other delta wing planes (AJS37, MiG-21), the elevon authority seems very different at take off.

Taking Off with AA load and Afterburner, I do a full back stick at 130kt waiting for the front wheel to get high, then immediately release the stick to about 25% back trying to maintain 10° to 12° nose high, untill the main wheels are up and the vario is positive. I find the gesture quite brutal and has a lot of amplitude.

I don't have any correction on my stick's linearity.

  5. Hello,

PCAB warning is lighting on above ~24kft on the Cabin Alti, while I was flying around LVL 555.

The manual RC6 tells PCAB should switch on above 30kft Cabin  (Same as Mirage F1 and Mirage III ? ).

The cabin's pressure law looks strange at high altitude: I managed to get a Cabin altitude of 33kft, which seems odd with delta-P = 300mbar.

    Thanks RAZBAM,

  6. While flying high speed / high Altitude, the engine seems somewhat limited around lvl 655.

Even with a lot of air intake at high speed (1.6M..2.0M), with or without PC, the engine stalls.

I know IRL M2000-C should not fly that high, but is it a normal M53 behaviour to stall below lvl 660 ?

Many thanks to the RAZBAM Team for giving us such a deep simulation.

  7. I also like the High Altitude strategy with M2000.

I found FL400 is sufficient to be above contrailing (in game), you can maintain this altitude with center tank (~3500kg remaining) 2xSuper530 & 2xMAGIC without afturburner.

Doing BARCAP at FL400 for 2h can be boring...

Accelerating to 1.7M takes more time at FL450 than at FL400.

It is faster to push to 500KIAS between FL400..FL360 (descending) and then get up to FL520 at iso IAS to intercept enemies (game experience but old jet tactic to pass the sound barrier).

It is very fuel efficient compared to any other aicrafts in game, ~180kg/min, which gives 10 to 15min of high speed action before RTB / tanker.

  8. The mini campagn from Baltic Dragon was really great to play with lot of NVG action when it sorted out. Now it's a real pain with the NVG update...

You can also turn the Jour/Nuit knob to decrease some luminosity (Autopilot lights, ...) and the RADAR display luminosity can be decreased too with the gears at the bottom of the display.
