Well my Flaming Cliffs CD uses Starforce 3.07.14, so I can't play in Windows 7 either....
As the website clearly states
Programs protected by v3.07.014 and earlier versions will not support Windows 7. Due to a long lapse of time between old protection versions and Windows 7 beta releases, there are significant differences in technology, which does not allow implementing such support. Users of such products should contact the protected program developers or publishers to obtain Windows 7 patches, or use previous Windows version to run the products.
This being the case I can no longer play Lock On. The June update claims there is a forecoming patch, will it address this issue? I realise piracy has pretty much killed the sim industry but this kind of draconian copy protection does nothing but stop legitimate users from playing something they payed for.
If the game was incompatible with Windows 7 I would understand, after all, its an old game. But to not be able to play it because the anti piracy software is out of date? This is just absurd.
