i set up a new test mission with 3 hueys on the afghan map and now they are working fine! The only difference is ni MIST or CTLD script loaded up. I will do more testing to see if thats the issue, but I realise thats not a Huey bug then.

Solved it - finally. Rogue default.lua file in dcs/mods/aircraft/ah-64d/AH-64D/Input/ah-64D CPG/Mouse folder. Renamed it to disable. Bloody nuisance. No idea how it got there.
