  1. Sooo.. with Kinect out now and people already found ways to use it with the pc, anyone going to take the plunge and try to get it to work with blackshark and a10 :)
  2. To me, using a simulator for the real pilots, you could practice some maneuvers up to an extent without any re-percussion I would think? I am sure there are quite a few things you are not allowed to do when flying a real one, but simulator you can do anything you want when your at home with A-10C.
  3. I had the HUD go out on me while setting up for a landing. It was the last part of a hour flight. Sorta cool how it just happend at random. Caught me off guard. In the video you can see when it goes out and all switches are on. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=58904
  4. On HSI don't think it was working. OR like you said off course hehe. The CDI went like that after I lost the HUD. Also lost something else, have to go back and look at the track to remember. Whatever way the course arrow went the CDI stayed with it. On the flaps, think I am bugged then, that is far as it will go for me. Using the keyboard or the bind on my flight controller. That's good to know:) Wonder if I should of hit the HARS button come to think of it now. Since it is a back-up gyro system for EGI. I didn't notice any, when I was panning around the cockpit. http://www.navigraph.com/www/ndac.asp That is all I could find if that is what you are looking for, its a pay site for the charts :( Someone might have link to free ones.
  5. Bah, beat me to it. Just found it also lol.
  6. There is a link to a file in the beta forum that bypasses that part of the start up. I just can't remember which sticky it is buried in :(
  7. HUD decides to go out on me during my final turn to runway ugh. I was tired, it being 4am. So I keep drifting on my final approach staring at the gauges, very mesmerizing when your tired heh. That was my first offical flight. The flight was a scenic hour flight. It is 8 long boring minutes, so if ya got time, or just enjoy watching other people fly :)
  8. Trying to find the CICU/IFFCC switches in my car to do systems check after I start my car.
  9. I like how the targeting pod moves when your slewing around and the cover opens when it is activated. Still setting up joystick also, been playing the start up tutorial so many times now. Maybe next week I will hopefully move on to the next tutorial when I am comfortable starting up the hog without glancing at my sheet hehe.
  10. I just bind the key to "1" for now just to get past it or whatever key you like :) Oh yea and to add, the poor soldier standing behind the right engine lol. Be neat if he flew back. Hmm.. nevermind on the key bind. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=58400:doh:

    H.A.W.X2...

Is coming out whenever. For the quick arcade fix:thumbup: I have part 1, havent played it since Blackshark came out. And then FC2 http://hawxgame.us.ubi.com/ According to Blues News... http://www.bluesnews.com/s/109980/tom-clancy_s-hawx-2-announced
  13. Never knew that. Nice to know. I have alot of .ogg files from when I was making a scenario in Arma2 heh.
  14. There IS something out there you can fly. It is MADE for us simmers almost:music_whistling: http://www.militaryphotos.net/forums/showthread.php?135670-UAV-s-and-UV-s-pictures-thread Sorta neat how some of those UAVs look:pilotfly: Oh, link is picture heavy, sorry to some of the low bandwidth users
  15. I ordered a copy of LO:MAC, waiting for it to come in. Then getting the FC2 next week hopefully. Also DCS A-10 when it comes out hehe. I have Blackshark already.
  16. When I talk about "Arming/Activate the system" I am referring to "Master Arm". JFYI :) Should of been more clear to avoid the confusion of what I am talking about. And of course, I did not think anyone would delve so deep into my post as what I thought was amusing turning into this :( Sorry for the hijacking.
  17. Yea I could. To me though it just doesn't feel right. Why would you arm weaps on start up? Well, besides what happened to me lol. Wonder if anyone else waits until they get into position to activate weaps. When I start getting close to the way point, I turn on the skhval and start scanning the horizon, then when I see a target, I turn on the laser, get my range, and then arm the system while going into hover. All this is done simultaneously. So nice using the X52 now. Dont even have to take my hand off the stick and throttle. G13 is collecting dust atm, might use it for A-10 :)
  18. I use to use my G13 to start up the BS, so one day I was flying to a mission I was working on, also G13 was used to set up my weapons and stuff before I got the X52. I get about 8km away from my target and go into a hover. I went to activate my weapon system, instead I turned off my fuel and shut down the engines. Before I knew what was going on, I was sinking in a lake :(
  19. One day working on hover landings, I tried to land on the tower, I was successful, er sorta, building blew up as soon as I touched down lol. I try to hover land on whatever I can.
  20. You can't lock on a target if it is behind power lines either or under. I have tracks if anyone wants to view it. I usually just put the target box on the object and fire without a lock. No biggie.
  21. To me, being able to adapt to your enviroment you are presented with, is a great accomplisment. I liked the old trim, I got used to that, I understood and understand that this is a PC SIMULATION. I can work with both old and new trim style because I took time to learn it instead of saying it is not right, because to argue, is pointless on a PC. If it was a real situation, of course it matters :) You can post statistics and all that, and complain all you want, if you can program better, please do so and apply to the software companies. :) Again this is not a rant or gripe or flaming, just a observation. IF there is another flight sim out there that is perfect, please give me a link to it:) (Military excluded) (or any commercial airline personnel) War is full of mis-information. If you are military you can not simply complain about bad intel heh. For me, being a PC based product flight sim, this simulation has far exceeded my expectations and posed(SP) many challenges, which makes me a better "flight sim" pilot. There are gripes I have or had with this product, but I have learned to work around it.:D I have the x52 and can not complain it is not working. It rocks. Each person has a different experince though, hope all works for you soon:) Oh edit, I dont hold the trim down when I am making a course change, but when I am doing a evasive maneuver, heck yea the trim is held down until I am done doing evasive maneuvers lol. My balls might be off centered on the gauges, but the shark is still flying and in one piece heh.
  22. When I look around the cockpit, it is just to make sure I have not forgotten to turn anything on, which I usually do heh. Then glancing at the gauges is a good habit to get into once you know what each one does. Sucks trying to remember a gauge location or another button and your concentrating trying to find it and dont see that mountain coming up hehe.
  23. There is a tutorial in game also how to use the data link. I watched it once, still don't know how to use it that good lol. I usually don't send my wingman out to recon much, that the only time it flashes for me. I think the target then shows up on the Abris? Sometimes reading the manual does not make sense to me, best way I learn is to actually do it and just start pushing buttons hehe.
  24. It would be cool if all flight sims looked that way, but then, you are flying in a bound land mass in arma2? So less to process? When I played the demo, and went past a certain point, it would tell me to get back on the map :( Wonder how much processing power you would need if FSX and X-9, was made with the same graphic quality. Using those 2 games as an example since you are not bound to one area and can go anywhere you want in the world :)
  25. Also found a heli manual there:) http://www.faa.gov/library/manuals/aircraft/media/faa-h-8083-21.pdf
