I am very disappointed with these, poor quality and trainer sounds like someone talking in the background inside a goldfish bowl. I just bought FC3 and I expected better than this. The training missions in FC1 were much better and you could take control at any time, and built into the program itself. Is there any way I can get an improvement on these?

Rhinox-I agree completely, or include LOMAC in with the new modules, who wants to pay for this separately, and then LOMAC does not work with Win 7 in any case as I have discovered.

I got DCS World to work, and keys/Joystick are fine. I cant decide whether to buy FC 3, P51, or A10. Only thing 40$ seems a lot to pay for just one plane?

Strange, some of my keyboard keys do not work, same with Joystick, but as you say I hope these will work when I buy FC3. Probably because LO Gold is old and totally compatible with latest hardware, not sure. I assume there are 4 modules in DCS World to download, takes ages. Do I need all 4 or should I install FC3 first?

Hi sslechta I am inclined towards FC 3 as well. Now if only I could get my Saitek X52 Pro working with this? Maybe there is a profile somehere. Also I have a preference for ground attack aircraft but not essential. Same here I uninstalled all Lock On Gold and just reinstalled disk 1. Thanks.

Before I decide, Usually I prefer WWII planes, or A10 Warthog. With the A10 I get confused with the navigation so I did not play that much. There are other DCS planes like P51, A10 etc but just one plane. Is Lock On 3 the better buy as it has at least 6 planes?

Have not played the game for a long time. Now with new Alienware PC I have tried reinstalling Lock On Gold which has 2 disks. Disk 1 plays fine which I think is just the original LOMAC(Version 1.1), but disk 2(FC) has a starforce protection, and crashes my computer which is running Win 7 64 bit. For playing both LO 2 and 3 it says i must have the original LOMAC. If I buy LO FC 2 will it recognise the Disk 1 from LO Gold, or do I have to buy LOMAC again? Why on earth do they not combine the original LOMAC with the new FC's?

Taining misions not good in FC 2 Do theTraining missions in Lomac 1, they are much clearer and the sound is not garbled either. You can take over control in there too.

Gone back to the training missions in Lomac 1.12, a lot clearer in sound and texture. One of the things that confused me most is the HSI, and whether to complete a turning angle of 30-45 degrees one way or the other, or not at all,-always get lost and give up. Landing is hard but I can cope with that.

Ok, thanks chaps - I brought the game, but I wish I could really get into these high tech sims. I do the training to a point, brought the manuals, and Black Shark too- but hardly ever play them except for IL2. LOL. I cannot get past the take off stage, get lost or shot down quickly.

Ok, now I have downloaded Setup.exe, Setup-1.bin and Setup-2.bin and it says it cannot find 1.1. What now? It is installed in the default Ubisoft folder. I have Lock On Gold version - does that make any difference? Solved it I think by uninstalling lock On and reinstalling, and the Lock on 2 downloaded files are installing. Only question remaining is can I then uninstall Original Lock On? And I thought I would have to pay for this!! Or do I? It is asking for a serial number which I do not have. Do I have to buy it?

Is this a completely new expansion Silly question- I have Lock On 1.12b. Am I right in assuming Lock On 2 has to be bought as a separate game, then unistalling the older version? Soory have not played for awhile and not aware of the current situation. When I first saw this I thought it was a patch but does not look like it. Is there any loss of Fps? Buy from Amazon.co.uk? Oh I see it installs over 1.12b or is it 1.11?

Yippee! Sorted at last. Both the Setup file and Data1Cab(compressed) must be in the C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics Folder to install sucessfully - this is not very clear. Therefore same must apply to Patches. Should be able to play now- Yes it works. Wonder how many dont know this, as most other setup programs work direct from desktop!

I seem to have installed 1.01b but I wonder if it is worth it now as the program bounces out when I click a training mission. If I cannot do the training missions then no point in playing the game?? Hmm-I get themain menu, but nothing loads at all now When I click 'fly' program quits or I get a debriefing screen. Yuk!. Uninstalled again but back to the problem of not being able to delete files in the KA 50 folder

I need to do a complete re-install and patch 1.01b, but I get an error as the remaining files in the KA-50 folder cannot be deleted, even if I change the attribites by unchecking read only, the read only attribute cannot be changed. As a result I get an instal error when I do a complete reinstall and the same with the patch. Or do I just click ignore button will the game still run properly-English Version. The uninstall option in control panel does not delete all the files. I need permission to delete the folder but I have tried editing these with no result.
