Turning off volumetric lights seems to help a little. But it's still a bloom of light
It did help a bit. Many thanks!

Turned off the bloom option with nil effect. Will wait for a fix from ED.

Roger, thanks mate

Still an ongoing issue or has a fix been found? I can barely make out the ball and the LA/tower is way too bright in VR

Sorry for my late response. Thanks. I managed to get the connection working. But every now and then I think Windows shuts down the USB port in my NVIDIA card. A few reboots, or complete unplug and power down, seems to get it up and running again. A nuisance to say they least!

Ya. I checked that. I also tried selecting Start VR On in the Skatezilla utility. The screen on the monitor looks 3D, but the goggles are not connected. The only change since I was last on was the update,

Did the update to DCS 2.9.14.8394 tonight and now DCS won't start in VR. I have META Quest 3. I can connect to PC and start game with handset, but game stays 2D on the mirrored monitor in the headset. Anyone else seeing this issue?

Was there any solution found? Latest update and now my game won't connect to VR headset either.

nullGood morning
Having issues with Windows update not allowing VR headset to recognize cable. During a reset of the PC, I lost DCS and Updater apps and had to reinstall. I copied over my logbook from old to new install, and it shows up when game is flashed up, but the installer does not show any data. Did I screw up selecting the path )?
Cheers

Unchecking MT solved my issue too ... glad I checked this thread before asking the dumb question. However comma my log book did not come back, though the Installed modules list is correct. I don't recall changing the path to the logbook. Does this path need correcting somehow?

Very weird fault. I flew Raven One campaign mission 2 last night, I got a draw when my wingman buggered off by himself after the AAR so I returned to mother. Logbook showed no flight hours, but did capture the additional mission flown, my 2 AARs and the trap. This is the second time I tried the mission with the same result; as soon as Smoke finishes on the tanker he does not follow me to WP4. I try to call him but it does not show that I have a wingman in my comms menu. Is anyone seeing other in mission affects by the latest update?

Since latest update when I fly a Campaign mission I get the credit for the mission but the flight time is not being recorded. Anyone else seeing this?

I can't even get DCS to start now. I did the update last night and thought I would start off a relaxing Sunday with a campaign mission ... nope

The entitled 4yr olds in this thread....just wow!
No kidding. I had a quick read through and it absolutely boggles the mind. Almost embarrassed to admit I read as much as I did.

It's somewhat true for the Tomcat. They will launch you when you're ready on the cat and switch on the external lights at night. But it's bind triggered here, not lights on condition, ie. if you set your nav lights as off on the panel and turn on the ext. lights with the pinky, there won't be any actual light but the deck crew will launch you anyway.
There's also special option that allows you to just use the salute bind and it'll turn on the lights at night automatically.
An interesting work around. I will fiddle with Hornet pre-selects. Bit of a distractor from realism somewhat. Rainy weekend ahead means no yardwork, so I may have the chance to experiment a bit.

Only the Tomcat currently supports this feature. Not sure it ever worked with the Hornet.
Ahh, thanks for the clarity. I fly Hornets mainly, and am still on a shallow learning curve for the Big Cat from time to time, and have not gone to the boat yet!
I hope the capability gets transferred over to the Hornet eventually
Cheers

I put in the wish list that I would like the night launch salute to be initiated by the pilot turning on nav lights with the pinky switch on the throttles. I received the response from ED that this is already implemented in Supercarrier. True? Doesn't work for me; I still have to use "salute" in the drop down menu to initiate the launch.

Three off the top of my add. Others please chime in ....
1. ZIPLIP Case 1 recovery procedures
2. Ability to request touch and go's
3. Night ops - Turn on nav lights as nighttime salute procedure.
4. Logbook differentiate between traps and shore landings (you can train a monkey to land ashore ...)

I received an Oculus Meta update notice this morning. I have DCS up and running again through SteamVR (after a ton to tries and lots of help from patient members!) so I am hesitant to run the update. happy to hear anyone's thoughts.
Cheers all

did you stop the oculus service prior to copying, then restart service prior to starting the oculus app?
I used the solution from TheIziWarrior Up above. It got me up and running. Not as good going through Steam, but at least running for now. Thanks Brother!
Are you going to add a 1st person pilot body with animations?

Sooooo, you can display the pilot body? I need it for immersion. Without the pilot showing, every time I look down into the cockpit I am reminded I am in a game, and not emersed in a simulation.
Thanks
