Is there is a specific aircraft you are interested in? we may be able to give a better answer if you can narrow it down.
Often it comes down to personal learning style. for the Frogfoot, I recommend this series of videos
For something super specific like Case 1 recovery in the Hornet, Jabbers video is awesome
Also get on multiplayer and ask around there are tons of people that will give you one on one help if you just ask
Check out the subreddit Hoggit
They have a Tuesday night Noob event each week, or just hop on 104th or one of the other big servers, get on the voice comms and ask.

Thank you for getting clean sweep up so quickly, I have been having a great time on it so far. I know it is a work in progress but please consider my suggestion
Please make the ground objectives away from the main air to air area, this has worked for years and it is good compromise. This may not be the most realistic but the pick up group nature of the 24/7 server make it nice to have a reasonable chance of being able to loiter and take out ground targets and if the other side's fighters want to they can come attack us but they should have to go out of their way to do so

windows 7initializing error
Was working before now with
1.2.9.5 update
getting that Initializing error
I tried to get the media pack but I have windows 7 SP1
I tried to download the
Media Feature Pack list for Windows N editions
but the link you gave didn't have one for windows 7 and the ones I found for windows 7 wouldn't install
Please Help.

but both say
this update is not applicable to your computer

Sniper had those SEAD runs on Tbilisi down to a science and he let me and another guy tag along on a few.

you can load just one side. or you can load 2 different pods.
I often do this with the orange smoke pod, I just load one side. If you want 2 different pod you can load say smoke on one side and HE on the other, but there is no way to tell it which side you want, it will always shoot all of the left (port) side first before you can cycle the hard points then it will let you shoot the right side. Hope this helps, try it out.

The troops are not other players, you are correct they are AI.
However, it is not like a single player game either.
In the case of Blue flag your team of other real players are counting on you to drop those AI troops so they can capture the position, so you are part of a team of players who must coordinate to win. You will need fighters, ground attackers and troop transports all human and all working together in order to beat another team of real humans who are trying to do the same.

I recently added an SSD and a copied over my DCS files from my HDD. Everything is working except the updater is still looking at my copy on the HDD.
Can anyone explain how to update the path the updater uses to point it at the SSD install?

Smoke stacks are a good way to judge the wind
Isn't there also a way to have the PVI-800 display the wind? Is it currently working? If so are there any limitations?
I remember trying to use it before and it just showed 0. Maybe winds were calm at that time?

Great change on the bomber task! You guys are doing a great job of listening to feedback and implementing changes. Fishnuts should be happy to hear about this one. This is a big win for the gazelle pilots as well.

It seems to be the fighter guys who are the most vocal ones. They are complaining about player balance I.E being outnumbered. Personally I like to fly helicopters and strikers and I think it is fine that there is a prime time when we have more players and can push and another time of the 24 hour cycle when the other team has numbers and can push. it actually works better from the perspective of this striker/helo pilot.
And even without many enemy players on it is still a challenge to take ground with the coordination involved and the AI. So I wanted to post this to give another perspective

I have a suggestion for the bombing mechanic. Instead of the B-1 carpit bombing, when Intel is delivered a message says a bomber has hit the target, at that point it just kills the fuel bunkers so the enemy would not be allowed to spawn until repaired

Seems to be an issue with the KA-50 laser.
I will show erroneous ranges. Example is a tank at 8KM you lase it and it shows 8KM then it suddenly switches to show 4.6KM for no apparent reason.
Only had this issue on this server.

I remember this mission. i had the same issue with those Hinds.
One thing that really helped me is to get lower than the hinds, they will be much easier to pick out if they have sky behind them as opposed to ground.
Get ready
HMS on Shkval to manual, switch to long so it fires 2 vikhrs on one press, A/A and A/A ho on,
get low and stay out of range start at about 10 km.
Send in your wingmen,
inch forward until you can get a lock
you want them to get head on to have the best chance to hit.
If someone could host I would love to do this mission as a co-op

Please help. I can't even start the first mission, Saint won't even get in his hornet, It just sits there empty, I tried spacebar, it does nothing, I tried F10 there is only a Saint Hit me option, I tired to take off first, how do I get Saint to go?
