Hello. I am using Leapmotion for VR hand tracking and it works very well. However, my hands are way too above the MFD so that I cannot click the bottom row of it. I can set "handOffsetY" for -10 but not enough. I manually entered numbers like -20 in option.lua but it does not work at all. Is there anyway to get rid of the -10 limit?

Maybe I am late to a party and everybody already knows this but yeah I just found out that it is possible. Several months ago, I tried this SteamVR program called "Reality Mixer". It is a paid program which allows you to make "windows" in your virtual world and lets you to see the real world through the windows using the cameras on your headset. It was a neat idea as I was struggling to interact with MFD, ICP, or even a keyboard while I am wearing a headset. Sad thing is that my Reveb G2 has only low-res, black and white cameras. I could see the buttons but it was impossible to see detailed images due to the poor cameras. Also, it only works under SteamVR. At that time, it was impossible to run stand alone version of MT executable under SteamVR. It means a huge FPS lost. I could only do ST executable + no OpenXR tool kits + no DFR with my G2 Omnicept. I loved the idea but it was not working for me. So I moved on. Now, yesterday, I noticed that the developer of the program added an option to use an external USB camera instead of a built in VR headset camera. I gave it a try and wow. It works very well. I just taped a $10 ali express webcam on my headset and it just works surprisingly well. As you can see in the screenshots, the images are in color and the texts are quite readable. I could use a higher resolution camera but this webcam works for the time being. But it only works in SteamVR, ST, no OpenXR tool kit. Isn't this a FPS killer? Well, no. I guess ED have updated DCS MT to work in SteamVR in recent patches. I didn't know but I just works. No --force_steam_VR something something parameters, it just works. All I had to do is to set "Current OpenXR Runtime" to "SteamVR" instead of "Windows Mixed Reality". So MT is working. OpenXR tool kit is working(you can see "FPS:90.0" in the screenshots!). DFR is working. Color passthrough is working. I am just amazed that all the things I hoped for a long time just suddenly work. Crazy. I've ordered a smaller, higher resolution camera that can be mounted on my G2. I can't wait to see how it will work.

I recently bought BF-109K module and honestly, 13mm machine guns feel really powerful compared to what I have experienced in other games such as IL-2 1946 and IL-2 GB series. In IL-2 series, I think most machines guns are generally weak and you need to hit a target a lot to take down. Maybe my skill is not so good but it is really hard for me to take down an plane with machine gun only. But this module, wow, I can easily kill P-51, Spitfire with machine gun only. And wow again, Mk108 is really powerful here. One shot one kill. It reminds me the old IL-2 1946 period because Mk108 in IL-2 GB seems to be seriously nerfed. It is all my personal experience so I don't know how you accept this. All I want to say is that I am really happy with Bf-109's armament. They are powerful.

I am using HOTAS with VR headset and turned off "use mouse" in VR option. The reason is that I do not want to move my hand from stick to mouse every time I need to click something. I just simply move my head to aim a button I want to manipulate and click a left-mouse-click-assigned-button on my throttle. In this way, mouse pointer is always centered in my screen but I just force turn off the pointer using LAlt+C when I don't need it. It is also assigned on my throttle btw. It works really well but sometimes I need to interact with buttons in an area where I need to turn my head over 90+ degree. That gives me neck pain. So when it happens, I need to use a mouse. But because I turned off "use mouse" in VR option, I have to pause the game, navigate to VR option, and tick the "use mouse" and close the menu. Once I am done with the mouse, I have to do that all again to use "VR head tracking mouse". That's a lot of work to do. So my question is, is there a toggle key for turning on and off the "use mouse" in VR? It would be super awesome to have it, and it will save a lot of my time. Please tell me if there is a such option.

I have the problem too! I am getting 40+ normally but as I start to shoot some bullets, fps goes down to one digit number. I am using 2500K with AMD6950. I have no idea why only P51 gives me this problem. Other modules like A10 are just fine.

Cursor changes in arrow Mouse in Cocpit DCSW 1.2.1

I see. I took the link in a different way. My bad. So it needs more time for testing. I hope it ends soon because I almost give up playing now. =/ -

Being sarcastic is okay but that is not what I am asking. I read it didn't make it in time so do I have to wait until another major patch like 1.3 or 1.2.2? Funny thing is that DCS World updates almost everyday now. It downloads something and installs when I try to launch. If it is fixed then why not use 'that updater'? No offense here. Just wondering. -

Uh... I don't understand. What do you mean by it is 'fixed'? I am still experiencing the issue. Do you mean that you guys have fixed the problem but have not yet released the patch because of..... some reason? How long it will take? -
I see. So it is normal. I don't understand why they had to use such a confusing compass but there must be a reason for that. Thx guys!
-
If you watch the video you can notice the compass spins around as I roll. Is that correctly modeled? I mean a compass should point where I am going. I am not changing my direction but just rolling. So when I try banking, the compass spins and points random direction which makes me confusing where I am heading now. Others like IL-2 don't do this. It points where I am heading while I am rolling. So I just want to know this is a bug or intended to be working like this.

Do we have Freetrack users here?? Is it working?
jk9 replied to jk9's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Nooooo. amigastar is right. I bought the betakey and tried but no go. So DCS World itself works okay with Freetrack but once I install P-51D, Freetrack ceases to work. What the heck is wrong with P-51D!! -

Got it! It is working now. I installed both DCS World and P-51D together without betakey which was the reason it didn't work. I uninstalled everything and installed only DCS World this time. Now it works great after copying headtracker folder inside \bin. Once I get P-51D betakey, I am sure I will have no problem playing it with Freetrack. I assume the Activation process caused all this problem. -

Oh not again! Just can't understand what ED doing. Just can't. ED must have more power than netualpoint I assume, then why they have to do this. *Not so happy face* -
Great! Now I can change its value.
