Shame DCS doesnt have trials of the various aircraft modules so U could try one for say 7 days and decide on which one you want before laying out the cash for it...

So I'm hearing a lot about using VR in DCS and have no clue where to start. What are the pro's and con's of using VR, can U get into it cheaply or it going to be able expensive upgrade straight away?

I currently fly F15C which is a heck of an aircraft and very powerful but I am after something a bit more nimble for dog fighting, what do you suggest?

Checked this and yes keeping speed low on taxing to runway but I still have the same problem when using the twist on the joystick for rudder but all fine when I use Z and X on keyboard instead

With some help from a buddy of mine we found what the problem was and it is the fact that the rudder is permanently pulling to the right! Tried 2 different joysticks and sane result but when we remapped the rudder to Z and X I had no problems on the ground and with some guidance I was able to take off finally. Hmmm now how to fix that.....

Thanks to everyone for your replies. I need to be a bit more patient, take my time and practise practise practise!! I should have chosen a smaller aircraft I guess as the Eagle is a big old bugger!!

I am brand new to DCS and having problems with taxiing to take off. when I try to move the aircraft to the runway it wobbles allover the place to the point where it falls on its side! if I make it to the runway and start to increase throttle to takeoff space it ALWAYS falls over! My startup routine: Electrics ON NAV Lights ON Canopy Close Right Engine START – run up to 50 Left Engine START What have I missed? Rotation at 130-150 knots GEAR UP - yeah that IS optimistic as I never get off the ground!!

Hi There, Just got the F15C and trying to set up my control mappings but cannot get the throttle assigned to the throttle slider on my joystick so tried with my mates and cannot get it set on his either even though he has it set that way on HIS DCS World with the same aircraft. Throttle slider works fine on X-Plane 11 Any ideas please?
