Yeah originally i was looking at the i5 9600k but would run into bottlenecking with the gpu ... either a 2070s or 2080s... (just seen the 2080 standard is CHEAPER than a 2070 super ?) these are current prices i5 £215 - i7 £360 - i9 £490

ok so if i was already buying a water or air cooler it would be fine? i thought only ryzen cpus came bundled with a fan ... heatsink i'm not sure what that is on the cpu.. Digging into reviews the i5 9600k and i7 9700k both are reccomended over the i9 ... and much cheaper .. fps and clock speed OC'd seem the same !?

in regards to getting the i5 with a 2070 or 80 super (depending on price) the SSD ... i originally thought a 500gb m.2 and a 2tb 3.5" drive ... but someone suggested getting a 1tb M.2 and nothing else for now... first is that a better option ? what about 500 m.2 and a 500 2.5" ssd vs a 1tb m2 alone... cheers !!

Yeah it's been a while I've only been gaming on consoles really. i remember there was an afterburner type arcade game that used VR a while ago ... :megalol: Never really wanted to get Ace combat as i prefer more Sim less shoot em up but a few months ago i was tempted to get ps VR and ace combat just to have the experience and to let my dad try it out (he always wanted to be a pilot too funnily enough)

Cheers for the advice, i did state it would be the OC rift s, my budget for just the pc was 1000 but pushed that up to 1300. i dont have to have vr right away but it was the thing i really wanted in a flight sim since....i dont know , i was 13 playing falcon on the Amiga hahaa ! just watching a youtube clip with someone running a R 2600x and a 2070s and fair enough they're averaging 25-30fps but it looks decent.... the i5 9600k is a faster chip and i think everyones waiting for ED to optimise dcs VR ...

Thanks for the feedback i saw the Noctua NH-D15S 82.52 CFM CPU Cooler or a corsair h60 ... for the price those are ok? 1tb m.2 or split m.2 and sata say 500 each ? with the psu what do you look for in quality / efficiency? thanks again !
