I have Windows 7 x64 and an ATI 6950; and I can't get Vsync to work. When I try to make a Black Shark shortcut in either the CCC or ATI Tray Tools it does not open the program; it gives me a message about a missing lua. This means I cannot use the ATI Tray Tools fix because that requires ATITT to make it's own shortcut. What are other ways of enabling Vsync; is their a file I can edit?

I have the cd for this, it is very good; although I really don't care for the between mission strategy crap. But I am afraid to install it on my new system since I heard somewhere that it will F up your DirectX if you install it on Windows 7.
-
Wait; you can have all HEI ammo now?
-
Try Open Hardware Monitor; it records the max voltage. I am at 4.7 GHZ; when I run P95 or IBT, it can vary between 1.37 and 1.47 volts. You have a similiar motherboard to the one I have, do you have LLC on or off?
-
It is difficult to believe that you are running an i7 2600k @ 5.0Ghz and staying under 1.4V. My motherboard is bad, but it is not that bad.

What I meant is that the CPU would have to send data out to two different graphics sources instead of one; also using the onboard graphics would generate more heat for your CPU heatsink to dissapate. It might not be a major difference; and for non-flightsims; might speed things up. But I don't think it is a feature worth waiting for especially since, if rumors are correct, the 2011 pin processors are not that far into the future.

It is not a terrible idea, for most things; but think about it; if DCS A-10C is CPU bottlenecked, then using both the on die and PCI-E card at the same time would make it run slower. Better to just turn off most of the graphical effects in the OS; especially since I can't see the Alt-Tab selection menu when Aero is enabled.

It only got in the lower 90s when I ran the Intel Burn Test using approx. 7GB of RAM at 4.8 GHZ. When I run DCS A-10C, it is below 60deg C. However, it still got zero errors and a good GFlops count when it got in the 90s.

I have two RAM modules advertised as 1600Mhz CL9. At 1600Mhz I can't overclock the CPU beyond 4.3Ghz; when I turn them down to 1333Mhz, I seem to be able to take the CPU as far as I want as long as it stays under 98 deg. C (won't take it over 4.9Ghz, since at 5Ghz Vcore went slightly over 1.52Volts for a brief moment). Right now I am running it at 4.7Ghz.

I don't like the auto hide. You can transition from HOTAS to clicking on stuff a lot faster without it.

I guess it is time to put my dead GTX 280 in the oven. But if that does not work, I will still get a 6950, as these are driver compatability issues that are likely to be fixed in the very near future; and until then I will play with HDR off, like I do now.

So I assume you guys did the file editing Catalyst AI disable? In another thread someone from ED said it was still enabled if you just did it from the GUI.
-
Does Nvidia have something similar to Catalyst A.I.? It would be interesting if the ED programmers were willing to work around Nvidia's version of CAI

Haven't tried the new patch yet, due to a dead GTX 280, but I looked at the change log.
I really don't like this one: "The yellow cross cursor will be hidden if inactive for more than five seconds".
I can transition from using my USB HOTAS to clicking on things faster if the cursor is always visable. I hope there is an option to have it always visable.

Anyone tried combining coolers? Like puting that Corsair Hydro series copper cylinder on top of another heatsink.
-
Is he saying that ATI purposely makes older shader effects not display correctly? Anyone have problems playing old games on an ATI card?
-
7.3?
anyway; just coping the two folders to Bazar also works, I will just delete those two folders and restore the backups before installing the next A-10C patch.
-
Unfortunately the Modman 7 patch does not make A-10C appear on the list for me. It is okay though, I will just make a backup of the Bazar folder and put it back before applying the next A-10C patch.
-
awesome, I hope you do one for the throttles as well. How do I install this using Modman, as far as I can tell, Modman 7.3 is the latest and that has no option for DCS A-10C
-
Actually, I still cannot read the HUD.
Here are some screenshots with HDR off:
In these screenshots is the middle number for the speed visable at all to you guys. If it is then it might be my display that is a problem. Could I turn reflections off in a lua or config file?

That lets the Maverick lock onto a point on the ground. I wish the destroyed vehicles were accidentally locked onto when not using force correlate.
-
The TGP, Mavericks, and Shkval don't lock on to disabled vehicles.
-
I should try it without HDR, and with refuel lights completely dim, I hope that has no negative effect on the boom's AI.
-
I turned HDR on and can see it fine now, The warning lights look chunky though.
Help me with Vsync

nice, but is their a way to install D3DOverrider without installing RivaTuner? That thing is almost two years old!
