  1. Thanks
  2. I'm getting frequent and random crashes. The goes blank, and a loud sound plays from the speaker. The only way to get out of this is to hold the power button down for several seconds to turn the PC off. So here is what I know and have done... it only happens in DCS, no other flight sim (MSFS, Elite Dangerous) and no other games I'm running the latest version download yesterday It's not the load on the GPU or CPU. I can stress test both for a significant amount of time. All updates to Windows and graphics drivers have been done I have reinstalled completely DCS (not in the default directory as I do not have enough space on the C:\ drive) My specs are... i7-6700k Gigabyte Z170 Radeon Vega 64 32gb ram Gigabyte 1tb SSD (I have tried other discs as well) CH Pro throttle, fighter stick, Thrustmaster pedals and T16000M stick Home made "TrackIR" clip and a PS3 Eye camera VoiceAttack Actually I have put the fighter stick grip on the T16000M base, as the fighter stick gimbals horrendous around centre, and the base of the T16000M has lots of buttons. Any ideas? Anyone else having issues like this? It's really stopping me getting into the game as it can happen are 5mins, 1 hour or more. Just random Thanks Paul
  3. I was using a T16000M joystick, with reasonable results. Landing on carriers maybe 50% of the time, able to settle into the on speed AOA with full flaps and gear down. Then I changed my stick to a CH Fighterstick, and I can't repeat this at all. Strange thing is that the controls display on my hornet is different from the f16. Please see that attached pictures. I also only get to half the nose down stick deflection before the control display is full nose down. If this hornet picture correct? I did not check this before I changed to the CH fighterstick, but reverting to the T16000M I can't get on on speed AOA I've reset all the axes, cleared them all out of the control options a re-added. Same result. Any ideas?
  4. Well the CTRL ALT DEL open task manger then close it workaround works But still a bug IMHO
  5. Yes I’m using full screen, and yes the aspect ratio is the same. I'll try the CTRL-ALT-DEL workaround see if this works Changing the windows desktop resolution sounds like a massive workaround. Never see a bug like this in any other games. Are there some settings or configure files I need to change or reset somewhere? Thanks
  6. My setup is as follows. Radeon vega64 and 4K (native 3840x2160) 60hz freesync monitor I can only run at medium graphic settings at 4K so I want to try 1440p (2560x1440) at high settings. When I change the resolution and DCS relaunches the gui is screwed up and the mouse pointer is not where it is shown. To click a button you must use trial and error positioning the visible mouse cursor up and right if your target I’ve tried this with the scale gui option in and off but this does not solve. AMD drivers have an option to scale screen resolutions but this seems to have no effect. Any ideas?
  7. Classic case of RTFM Thanks
  8. I'm a really noob to DCS, but I have done my far share of flight sims in the past. Especially Falcon 4. I trying to fly the first couple of missions and I am using auto-start just to get into the mission faster. However, although I take off and fly around my HSI is frozen as does not move? What am I missing? Thanks for helping PaulG
