I haven't built a kit since I was a kid 70 years ago. It can get pretty involved. Here's a pro builder building an A-10. It turned out really nice if you have the patience to watch it all. 15 min.

Considering the multiple hours they may be stuck in that seat while patrolling with tanker support, I would disagree.
As a retired 18 wheeler driver. I never needed a sheepskin to sit on. I had many times of driving 20 hours straight. Get a little sleep and repeat it over and over.
Fighter pilots are tougher than what you give them credit for.

I don't think a fighter jet needs cozy comfort unless you're my age.

Yes, but i'm sure it's sold.

Thanks for your post. However, I doubt i'll break up the HOTAS.
As for a picture. I've sold a lot of stuff on this forum in the 20 years i've been here with no complaints. I'm also a Christian and wouldn't cheat anybody. I just have no use for a camera. I could show my receipt from WW.

I can't believe there's so many views and no interest. I'm selling this and the Trackir because of family emergency and really need the money. Isn't it a good price for something I hardly used?
How about $350?
I paid $500

I have less than 2 hours of use use on this HOTAS. It has the 16EX (non shaker) joystick grip and the 15EX ll throttle grip with finger lifts. Orion2 throttle and joystick bases.
I'd like $390 +shipping
No haggling. It's a good price for a brand new HOTAS.
Sorry, I don't have a camera but it would just be a picture of a new HOTAS.
At my age I don't have the memory for combat sims. I'm going back to iRacing and GPL.

But it sure helps! Cmon I know everyone has done that once
PS for other game related challenges that might help your focus. Racing sims! 🫨
A racing sim is like a big AAR session that lasts 30-40 minutes and never lets up. After that AAR is easy by comparison.
I agree. I've been doing racing sims for over 20 year. GPL since 1999. ACC, iRacing etc ect. Fun stuff.

I was kind of harsh. Sorry.

Self control is important in combat sims. Shooting the tanker is stupid and shows you have none.

Yeah, the damper is only $41, so it seems to be the same price overall for both with the damper.
I tried the TM pedals a couple of years ago and didn't like them.
I should have got the pedals yesterday but the package was delayed. We had a bunch of snow. It's on the truck for delivery, so I should get them later today for sure. I'm sure i'll like them.

I'd love too but this game is the closest I'm ever going to get to flying a jet of any sort. All I can say is it feels better now, it feels less on rails now, a little closer to Heatblur's tomcat with regards to maintaining speed in turning and needing more finesse. The landings feel a little better now.
I trust that ED have SMEs who have helped design this new model to be closer to the real thing. All I can say is I am liking these changes the more I try them.
Yes, but the Hornet is fbw and should feel easy to fly compared to the Tomcat.

Make sure you're comparing to the real plane and not what you like?

I just got around to ordering the pedals. Should have them soon. I held off getting the damper. I want to see what they feel like without it first.
Got to love free shipping and no tax. Total price charged to me is $304. Same deal with the HOTAS.

When you get older you read a little slower. I started to read the patch 5 hours ago. I should be done soon.
Just kidding. Nice patch.

Comfortable to sit on but looks like a Mexican lowrider.

Providing you can remember all the HOTAS commands.

While watching this video linked above
I noticed the Red Controls Indicator in the lower left showing the amount of pitch trim that is being applied.
I also noticed that if your speed increases very much over 250 with gear down, that tic mark goes away and the pitch trim seems to reset. And then it becomes necessary to reset pitch Trim to get to On Speed AOA. Of course landing gear are not supposed to be lowered above 250 so this makes sense.
Or is this not correct?
Thanks
That's correct, but you should never need to go over 250 mph after being onspeed. Not even close to it.

There's that word boring again.
Nothing about flying a fighter jet is boring.
-
Good. Might as well get them and keep everything WW.
-
I agree. I just bought the WW with F-15EX throttle grip and F-16 stick grip. It's good for the the A-10C, F-15, F-16, and F/A-18. It's always better to have too many buttons, sliders, and switches than not enough.
-
Do these pedals have brakes? I see no mention of them.
-
Oops! Typo, my bad. I meant to say I have the 15EX grip.
-
Got my WW and the first thing I checked was the angle. I have the 16EX grips. I don't know if all grips are straight now but mine is dead straight with the base. WW fixed the problem or the 16EX grips never had the problem.

Did a lot of rock crawling too. Fun stuff.
Here's my Jeep when I first built it.
