[Upcoming EFM update] Further refinement of lift & drag coefficients

Hi guys,

Hope you enjoy the flight model of JF-17 so far. We'll be updating the CL & CD tables of JF-17 aerodynamics data in the next OB update, to bring the overall turn performance closer to the EM chart.

As a result, the SEP characteristics of the aircraft will be more accurate among all flight regimes. Which means you'll notice small changes in acceleration, deceleration and speed bleeding in a turn. Stay tuned.

Have some of these preliminary changes already been introduced in 2.5.6.47224 or 2.5.6.47404?

I ask because ever since the 47224 patch came out I've been experiencing some very strange anomalies which have negatively impacted the overall handling and performance of the Jeff in a variety of different flight regimes. The change in handling has also been further exaggerated by some strange inconsistencies with fuel consumption, which I first noticed in the 47224 patch.

I was planning to make a bug report for both of these topics, flight model & fuel consumption, but if the next OB patch is going to bring back some degree of consistency then I'll hold off on drawing any additional attention to these topics until then.

Looking forward to an overview summary of the changes. I've noticed that you guys have stopped making videos on the Jeff.

No preliminary changes has been made into current patches. The FM update also addresses some of the anomalies I knew so yeah you can do some testing again when it come out.

Interesting.

Check my post "Flight Model Drag".

The JF-17 is not better than the F-16; it's different. It's how you fly that counts.
