Spook9 Posted March 27, 2016 Posted March 27, 2016 ALCON, Just wanted to throw a line in the pond and see if there are any US veterans/current members that are interested in flying with other vets/AD folks? We've got a good group so far with pretty much the entire group being current AD guys. We're always keeping an eye out for other warriors that would like to come join us! Feel free to message me or drop a line on the VFC-141 recruitment post on our forums. Look forward to hearing from you! http://www.carrierpilots.com/vfc-141-vigilantes.html V/r, Spook *To non-vets, we're absolutely still open to anyone who's interested. This is just a PSA for our veteran community looking for a group of similar people to fly with.* V/r [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] http://www.vfa-141.com

=Mac= Posted January 4, 2018 Posted January 4, 2018 AD? As in Aviation Machinist mate? Yeah, that's what snagged me to come read. (AMH, '71-'74, P-3C, Keflavik, F-4J, Oceana, CVA-59) The Hornet is best at killing things on the ground. Now, if we could just get a GAU-8 in the nose next to the AN/APG-65, a titanium tub around the pilot, and a couple of J-58 engines in the tail...
dopebogey Posted January 4, 2018 Posted January 4, 2018 (edited) haha, Ya, me too. AD3 late 80s early 90s. I worked on C2s, F18s, A6s, and CH53s. But most my time on the 18s and CODs. COOL to see a fellow Forstall air winger! :) I was in its last airwing, CVW 6. Anywho, The OP posted this a while back so it's a bit old. Not really interested in joining them, just thought it was cool to see a bunch of ADs on here (if they mean Aviation Machinist Mate). :) Edited January 4, 2018 by walleye62
dopebogey Posted January 4, 2018 Posted January 4, 2018 I read AD as active duty. Ahhhh yes...That makes more sense! :)
