With 1.2.0 I often have the sim crashing when some explosions occur.

The error seems to be with the effects.dll (Also had that during the A-10C beta, back then).

My system:

i7 920 2.67 Ghz

8 GB RAM (I know I'm not using all of them with my OS)

Nvidia GTS250 1024 MB

Win XP 32 bit

Sometimes I can fly for hours and shoot up stuff with those cool new explosions (looks very good).

Other times I get the crash very frequently.

The sim stops and I get a black screen, followed by the error report soon after. Then it goes back to the GUI.

OK can you confirm you have applied the /3gb tweak in my sig? Might not be related but I want to double check it.

OK cool - keep an eye on this and post the logs of when this happens again. If you happen to note any patterns to it let me know.

Nate

Not 100% sure, but it seems to happen when something explodes.

The sim locks up and the sounds repeatly stutters. Then there is quite som Harddisk activity and a popup error message (standard Windows) mostly with effects.dll mentioned as the cause for the crash.

Clicking "Don´t send" will get me back to the GUI where my P-51D is listed with a bunch of defective systems, though I didn´t crash or got hit.

It sometimes happens when I fly through the smoke of some shot up objects.

NOTE!!

We also had this during the DCS A-10C Beta, but was fixed. At least I see it very selvdom in that sim.

I have mostly been flying the P-51 in DCS World 1.2.0 so i don´t know if it still happens in the KA-50 or A-10.

Next log

This time the sim crashed with the A-10 after I dropped some CBU-97.

The cluster munition exploded and I could fly for some minutes, but as I passed overhead the target at low altitude I got the crash.

This time the Modname was listed as "Unknown" and not "effects.dll"

Log file:

I also found some*.CRASH files which has been attached.
