Sorry for the late response, I had an exam week so I was distracted.

I managed to solve my issue by uninstalling, cleaning registry and installing the game on a different drive. I think the issue was that I used a moved folder of an older version of DCS World and Steam did not fully recognize or update it as it should. I just joined a few servers almost instantly.

I hope this will solve the problem for other players experiences this as well.

Glad you sorted it out. Oddly enough, I also reinstalled and cleaned the registry with CCleaner but to no avail. It probably was that old folder you mentioned.

For instance, every time I want to reinstall DCS I make a copy of my existing "input" folder, so I don't have to spend hours remapping all controls and tuning joystick settings. The last time I did this, I copied the entire "config" folder (which also contains the "input" folder, among others) instead. The problem with that is that was using unnecessary files from older DCS versions, and perhaps those were conflicting with something something else. So now I only copy the "input" folder in order to be used in my new DCS installations, the rest goes all away.

Told you ;)

You probably had a Windows Network hiccup, this still happens as of 2015, 20 years after Windows 95 LoL.

I am using a Mac or Linux and avoid Windows whenever I can for a simple reason. Unreliable and harder to troubleshoot.

It is no bad idea to have a good network adapter and not realtek or whatever, use Intel Pro's and if you have the extra buck, get it TOE enabled, that makes a difference, including a solid driver.

Bit

Well, the problem is that, in my experience, Linux performs poorly and there are all sorts of applications that are incompatible (I've used different versions of Ubuntu). Regarding Mac, it isn't customizable at hardware level and, from what I've seen at work, you can barely configure anything in OS X, it's pretty restricted...also, Apple products tend to be expensive without reason (other than just being Apple products).

And about troubleshooting in OSX being easier, I disagree. We had application and network problems at work (back in 2012) with our Macs, it was pretty hard for me to find the cause because OSX didn't provide info about the problem. In the end, I managed to solve those issues by enabling some stupid setting which was pretty much hidden. While I was trying to solve this issue (by looking for all the possible customizable settings in OSX), it became apparent to me that OSX restricted the user to just application work, OS settings weren't customizable (as are in Windows/Linux), all I could do was enable/disable some superfluous stuff and that was it. Also, if something broke I had to go to the Apple store, since that was the only place where I could get compatible components (on top of that, those components were always expensive). Also, some of the usb ports (mouse and keyboard) were incompatible with anything other than Apple products...

If a Mac started lagging, we couldn't just upgrade it, we had to buy a whole new computer instead. That pretty much showed me that Apple products are best avoided, lol. Just my personal preference, of course. OSX is great if all you want to do is work with applications like PS,Illustrator,Dreamweaver, etc. (as is Windows, if you ask me)

Other than the design, and the false sense of exclusivity, I don't see any real appeal in Macs.

Hi all!

So... i have maybe same problem ... everything what you say here is nice, but ... i playing DCS from October 2014, i played a lot of multiplayer games, i stop maybe on end of November... but im back from Christmas...

and i CANT join on every server (including where I formerly played ... durring loading i get Connection interrupt )

and i CANT join to server created by my friend

and i CANT CREATE server ( durring loading and joining to my server game just kick me to menu and my friend joint the server, and say " hey, i see you here and now you left " )

my friend have port 10308 closed too and completely same version like me.

I try turn offline my windows FW ( i will try avast's FW and router's ), completely reinstal game, deleting temp, reset of my router, changing MP settings in MP menu :(

So this bug is here maybe from patch 2.1.14 ? :(

I solved it... Just uninstall DCS from Steam and install normal DCS World from http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/downloads/world/dcs_world/

Connectis Interruptis

I have been having this very same issue since late November or early December (2014). It happened right after getting a small DCS World Update.

Ever since then, I Always get the "Connection Interrupted" Message whenever I try to log into any Online Multiplayer Server.

I launch directly from DCSW .. I do not use Stream or any other 3rd Party Client.

I have tried to figure this out ever since and even DCS Tech Support is not coming up with anything other than a Complete Reinstall.

I figured it was coming to that but now I don't know the best procedures.

Obviously, I want/need to Disable the License Keys to each of my Mods (so I don't use up my Installation Count i.e. maximum installations).

But also I am a bit confused because of the extra folders BlackShark 1 and 2 create.

I started with BS1 and purchased the BlackShark 2 UPGRADE.

Since I have to reinstall everything, I wish I had purchased the Full Version of BS 2 yesterday while it was still on sale.

Anyway, in order to properly uninstall and reinstall, do I need to Uninstall BlackShark 1 & 2 independently of DCS World ?

Do I need to Re-Install BS 1 & 2 independently of DCS World ?

Should I leave BlackShark off until there is another sale to get the Full Version to ensure a Clean Install without Extra Folders ?

Any help with this will be greatly appreciated.

"IF" I should have posted in another Thread, please advise. I have difficulty searching and navigating these forums but I'm grateful for the amount of information I can obtain when I am in the right spot.
