BitMaster Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 Hey All, a thing that should be noted regarding DNSnames changing their assigned IP is that regardless how often you flush your DNS cache it may need up to 24h until all servers WORLD WIDE are aware of the change and there is NOTHING that you can do to speed this up UNLESS you change your own DNS Forwarder to one that is already aware of the change. Querying a server who has not updated itself will not give you the new IP address, regardless of if you flush your DNS or not. Two Servers that I can recommend are the GOGGLE DNS SERVERS @ 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 Those 2 servers, among others, are generally very fast in updating the global catalog. Depending on your router and your skills this might be an option, or not.
