Blooze Posted May 8, 2014 Author Posted May 8, 2014 http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=123740 Thanks for the link but that didn't tell me much. Can you give me an example of how this would be implemented in an A-10C during a mission? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Blooze Posted May 9, 2014 Author Posted May 9, 2014 Apparently I'm not the only one that doesn't have a clue :music_whistling: [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Flagrum Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 Apparently I'm not the only one that doesn't have a clue :music_whistling: Yeah ... and therefore I am quite happy that we now can disable it - it annoyed the hell out of me whenever I accidentally enabled it! :o) Well, I _think_, it shall help to identify stuff. When enabled (that red cross appears) and you click on a unit, it tells you what it is. And considering what was said in that other thread, doing so also makes the corresponding unit icon on the F10 map appear for ground commanders - if fog of war is enabled. So I guess, it is supposed to help ground commanders gaining situational awareness in MP.
Fri13 Posted August 10, 2014 Posted August 10, 2014 I like the feature but it is so hard to use when mouse stepping is so radical that cursor doesn't move smoothly if zooming in even littlebit. So I can identify targets myself faster than using the cross. I do hope that someday we can get zooming disabled and instead have a binoculars in cockpit. Then we have constant zooming like 7x or even 10x. And it would render a circle around view. But I do hope the identification cross would become easier to use as I really wish I could do scouting to others and easily get targets spotted to commanders. Even if it means listening a radio call :) i7-8700k, 32GB 2666Mhz DDR4, 2x 2080S SLI 8GB, Oculus Rift S. i7-8700k, 16GB 2666Mhz DDR4, 1080Ti 11GB, 27" 4K, 65" HDR 4K.
